Ever since I hit surplus the first time, I've seen it like a badge of honor. It tells me that I'm ranking up faster than SE intended.
Didn't you all used to cry and cry about surplus, and now you are asking for rank 5 surplus?? Make up your mind people :\
Well, it has been over a month, and I decided to go ahead and bump this thread to update my status on achieving a higher surplus level. I still believe that leveling is too easy with not enough feeling of accomplishment. Now that I am out of school for the summer I started on a job I havent leveled yet with a few friends and we staticked to level 43 in one week. During this one week period my archer never hit higher than level 4 surplus, I did the math, and compared this with a level 43 last night who wasn't in surplus during our leve party. How is it I can get 7 levels away from cap in one week?
With the statements they have made about advanced jobs possibly keeping the same levels as the jobs that you need for a prerequisite it has me worried that the game will run out of content and things to do way too quickly for many people. If they keep the jobs that way, its only a matter of time before just about every player who plays the game more than casually will have every job at 50 considering there has been no mention of a level cap increase in any of the letters from the producer.
I think it would be a wiser decision for the levels to reset for the advanced jobs to keep people busy, leveling is easy as it is and I would like something to do other than level an alt 3 months from now because it is a huge waste of time to focus on more than one character in a game where you can select multiple jobs and play any role.
I feel the same way Req but imo i think that 50 isnt 'really' cap, when they raise the cap it should be obscene amounts of sp to grind out so then everyone that complained about surplus will realize, oh but wait theres still an sp curve time to go whine some more.
Seriously though it should bother us that 50% of the population will be capped in every class within a year.
I think we should institute a community rule to type in italics for sarcasm, because it obviously is very missed by some.
The Jobs are not "Advanced Classes" they are just titles that force specific paths of skills and traits for your character.
just admit you want to have all your 50s and then slam the door on casuals
