Final Fantasy is gigantic title. To have it fail monetarily would be a near fatal blow to the company. This HAD to be done. They needed the huge turnout PLUS need people to keep their subs for the next 2 years to cover what they probably spent dev'ing the entire project.

Yea, I'm an adult, and I haven't been able to log in all weekend. I wasn't able to log in a few times throughout the week, as well. But you know what? No big deal. I have other things to do and plenty of work to take care of in regards to my career. We're been promised compensation and so we will be compensated. Moving on ...

1.0 is part of the "entire" project and purpose of my post. The point is, leaving it how it was wasn't an option. They still have to cover those costs and all that's going on now.

They should make overflow servers that are parallel to the server clusters we play on. That way, even though the server we are on is full, we can still play our characters and progress and still be in queue to the real servers. Like GW2, I guess.

I know I made a joke about everyone moving over to the JPN servers and I actually questioned the validity of the idea, myself... but this is a good attitude and it's sad that so many people are crying over a few days. Out of the 10 years or so this game is going to be up, I'd rather the first 15 days / 3650 sucked(and don't even suck, the game is still fun). That is less than 1% of the time for this game. In fact... that is closer to 0.004% of the time. I think we'll be okay.

It could be worse for you. You could be lvl 49 one min and the next your starting at 0 because of a account issue that seems to be taking for ever to get fix, if it gets fixed, that the boat I'm in but my lvl was 33 summoner. Like I said you have to keep on keeping on.

All these issues... the game is good.. it's not that good. Be prepared for another community the size of 1.0 2 weeks after launch. :(

I am unsure of where I wrote anything about believing everything a developer says. Just as you assumed that high server loads = quick cash grab, you again assume I am a naive white knight because I decided to give you an explanation to ease your pained mind.

As you responded, I guess if an emotional and tearful speech from Yoshi along with all of his passionate posts and live letters still give doubt that he is just in it for the money, I guess I won't stop you either from believing what you want. I am still unsure of how you were able to conclude that a company REMAKING a game is a wise choice to make a quick cash grab as it is very risky, but I guess you can still just believe that too. I agree w/ you on everything else and I am also slightly annoyed at the server problems, but I don't considering my choice to be content as settling for less, but an active skill where one learns to be satisfied with what isn't great so that what is great can be enjoyed.
