I need advices on what are good cross-skills for dragoon.

Also, remember, you don't HAVE to be hitting him 24/7. When you're hp gets halfway down and all of your survability CDs are down, you can always just kite him all over the palce ( use sprint if needed. ) and wait for a couple of hp potion cycles or second wind, etc, to come off CD. Its what I did to get past it, and beat it at level 30.

At the moment, I personally use Bloodbath, Second Wind, Internal Release, Foresight. Started using Foresight after garuda. Hnrrgghhhh, that boss and her 4th phase massive aoe. 20% more defense helped.

Was thinking the same after I wiped so fast...it was because I was all in his face the whole time. Appreciate the heads up.

Is it possible to beat Foulques on the lvl 30 lancer quest? I have no second sub job leveled and put all points into STR. I just can't kill him once he brings out the adds.

Edit: yes, I did it with Echo but was hoping to do it without it.

I am wondering if as a Lancer are one of the Grand Companies any better than the others or just go for whatever? I am torn between a couple of them but unsure lol.

I have a few second classes to pull from, 15 marauder and enough conj for protect, burning 2 potions i beat him with 80% hp left on my first try.

this was posted during open beta. its the level 50 gear. not sure if its 110% accurate (it isnt mine) as well as there appears to be 6 total ranks, but the level 50 gear shown appears to be the 3rd rank. donno what the higher ranks give. I'd say gridania , sadly i chose uldah before i saw this

Hi fellow Dragoons, do you find any use of our DoT's at all? Bad with the name of the first one (starts with a letter P, I think) and then there's our level 50 one. Is it me or are DoT's really bad in this game unless you have a lot of them up? I'm not sure if using a CD for a DoT skill is worth it. Any opinions?

Am I the only one who thinks our Jump abilities should also give us 100% evasion for the duration of the ability?

This thread has some great information, but now for my question. Has anyone had any trouble with the level 20 Lancer quest? I have tried it twice and Mr. Angry Elf keeps dying, any tips?
