GIL Sellers Are on The Rise

I think they'll have a tough time with ARR. Gil isn't particularly hard to earn yourself. Also what is there to spend gil on really other than day to day expenses such as travel? The best DoW/DoM gear seems to come from drops, the only expensive crafted gear seems to be for crafters and gatherers who don't need to buy gil. The only area I see gil sellers profiting is with the housing system and gil transfers of that amount will show up quite easily I should think.

They are continually spamming the global chat. It angers me because I cant see my FC 's conversation, or important game information like my award from a fate. How do you keep their message spamming out of the chat box?

In case people want an easier time reporting them, I started a thread suggesting an option to report them from the chatbox. I've seen them on Lamia spamming general chat on both side of Ul'dah, and seriously I had flashbacks to my WoW days because of it. XD

These gil sellers are taking up precious spots on the server while spamming privately through whisper. D:

I had just logged in and received the same spam through whisper 4 times in a row.

We need an option to block people.

As someone said already what really annoys me is they are taking up a spot for a legit player on the server.

Hell, we undoubtedly have Legacy RMT. SE never did much about those RMT groups in 1.0. >.>

If there one thing that FFXI(after 8 years of them fighting it) and I bet FFXIV will do it now also. Is handle the RMT and botters really well , better then any mmo. It is one thing they learn really well on ffxi , It to the point that none them will bother you or anyone now, in They last years on ffxi only had maybe 3 gil tells and seen 2 botters that messed up the group we were in, ,and when they do just report them. They will banned them in minutes, Maybe longer since there working with all launch stuff. Just like in real life , they can not get them all, but they have the power to do it., At a really, really, great rate now on slowing it down to the point they will just leave the game alone.

Seen them alot in Gridania on moogle and had 2 /tell's aswell. Reported everyone iv seen but the report process is indeed rather long. An option in the chat dropdown would be better.

Cant see it being overly successful for them though, if SE ban their accounts fairly quickly, and with the character limit, it will eventually cost more than they make.

At the m i imagine they are trying to get as much as possible out of the free trial time before subs start kicking in.

Yea, they will vanish eventually. Free trial won't last forever. ARR Gil is very easy to earn so I don't see any reason someone will buy them. But if they do, oh man feel sad for these people...

I have yet to see one on Excalibur, perhaps 1 good thing about legacy servers
