I think VII is just such a storm hit game, I mean you cant even search cloud on google without getting at least 1 Cloud and google recommendations to also add FF7 (I really liked FF7 as well, but I really liked other FF too lol).
What is nice to see though is that if you look under ratings the other FF you mentioned Klefth are doing well - its just people have a strong affinity to VII and XI. I'm surprised so many are for XI though, people who post on the forums usually don't say good things about it - perhaps because they get trashed with "gtfo" by FFXI haters lol
Its fun to see that Dragoon is so popular though, people just really like that class. Even though I had to reset the stats the first time he quickly rose to the top again.
After some food and wife time ill update again, about 50 more votes came in.
Done favorite FFVII!!!! :D and SMN
I think a significant portion of FF fans were introduced to the series with FFVII, hence it's their natural favourite (my first was FFIV though, and I voted for FFVI as my favourite ;)).
Also I suspect DRG's popularity stems equally from Kain Highwind's coolness and the fact DRG gets a wyvern pet in FFXI. ;) My favourite job is WHM though, so I voted for that. :D
not really :) i only started watching walkthrough of FFIV yesterday, and i thought DRG was really awesome since long ago. I suppose it's the AF armor though. But i think it was from FFT that my love for DRG came from, not sure though.
I think it sux people have favorites for sentimental reasons alone; for example i watched the movie Psycho 2 years ago, cause people said it was scary and all...and it was the shittiest movie i seen...well not really, but close :)
People shouldn't be blinded by the fact that it was the first game they played.
I'm gonna finish watching various FF games, and decide which is the best NOW :) being realistic about it, and not sentimental.
