They mentioned it awhile back in one of the posts classes have to be unlocked now you only start with 1. Its not just jobs you need to unlock now.

I remember this. Something like you can only start a character as DoW/DoM and then you have to level it to 10(?) with the tutorials and sort before getting access to other things?

Tha'ts not really unlocking. basically all it means is "play one class for a bit, then you can play the others."

I don't know about now but you could get to level 10 in a couple hours solo in 1.0 and that's being generous.

yes, you can unlock other classes after level 10 in a fresh pg, and only after visiting the relative guild. However for testing purposes they can overdo this rule for the first phases

It is unlocking because you can't play the class without doing its quest.

I was under the impresson it was "get to level 10 and do the tutoial stuff then you can play any other class. You're saying that each one has an unlock quest now?

I can see why you would think that, but it wouldn't make much sense for the rper. I haven't played the alpha so I don't know for sure if what everyone is saying is true, but that would sound cool, not conflict with what yoshida said and make the rpers out there happy.
