A bit earlier in this thread Iron Soup mentioned that there is an English patch available. Maybe you could try that? ^^

I kinda keep twitching and checking them once or twice a day just to see if anything new has been posted about the upcoming BETA.

But, yes SUPER stoked for FFXIV:ARR.

You'll first see her reappear somewhere else though!

How exactly would someone interested in playing the JP version with the unofficial english patch go about acquiring these things?

Edit: nevermind, I found a guide.

I have a hard time not thinking about it. I look forward so much to stepping out of Limsa, the sun high, making sure my brand new lures are ready. I'll polish my luminary rod the night before to a brilliant sheen, its gold matching the brightness of the grassy hills of La Noscea. My fishing leathers will be oiled, my boots newly laced. I'll set off in search of new fishing spots, new fish to catch, and new friends to make on the hills.

I'll flip every table on earth if fishing isn't in beta 1. Just... all the tables.
