People are making this too black and white. Stop polarizing the issue. Even a FFXI-2 with a modern implementation wouldn't be a rehash of FFXI. The world has changed too much in 8 years. It is okay to want something different and want FFXI-2 at the same time. They are not mutually exclusive.

Now take what you know also about useing the basic system in 14 i still like meny think 11s was perfect as it was

FFXI targeting wouldn't work well for multi-monster encounters. Dynamis was already awful enough.

There shouldn't be a different menu for changing targets, it should be doable on the fly.

I can understand you have no time to play 14 or 11 but its a MMo it never ends so getting everything in 6 months or 1 year really whats the difference. The game is still there like 11 8 years later still there. But thats not the point the point me and 90% of everyone else is makeing is the accual system not the story , not the gameplay backround its the system.

This whole thread smells of nostalgia, FF11's ship has sailed, best leave it in the past where it belongs.

I had some amazing times playing FF11 but i had just as many frustrating ones aswell.

I would sooner see FF14 concentrate on becoming more main stream and modern than going back to the way FF11 was.

basically we're at a point in time where the previous generation of gamers doesnt have time because they grew up and got jobs and had kids, and the next are rather young and impatient.

The market for something like XI just isnt as big anymore.
