how to make 10mil+ gil a day (and its effect on 2.0?)

I haven't taken part in Atomos, minus getting it done the first time, but I have to laugh - and I mean really laugh. People are always saying they want a challenge, they want things to take time and / or skill, but the moment something like this or the Garuda Black Mage thing happens it is the very same people who are all over it and taking it for all it has.

The very fact that people out there are willing to hop between camps killing Atomos over and over and over makes me shake my head in disbelief - killing him the first time in a giant pack was incredibly boring, never mind a full day of it. That said, it will be the people who play the most who do this - the vast majority of players wont bother, so it will be the particularly hardcore that will be even wealthier than before. No big surprise there, but trust me, when I log in after work, last thing I want to do is follow a pinata around - despite all claims to the contrary by many on these forums, this 'community' loves something for nothing as much as any other.

I also believed that there was to be completely fresh servers for those coming into A Realm Reborn upon its launch, so I guess that unless they are joining you as friends, it wont be something that they have to worry about anyway.

What people seem to be forgeting is the fact that SE is adding a number of new worlds for the sole purpose of giving new subscribers a place to play without having to deal with the disparities of new vs old. These players will have the option of joining one of the new servers or taking their chances on an established world. I imagine that the adjustment in Gil is part of an overall plan to revamp the economy for all worlds into something more manageable. In and of itself it is meaningless. Hopefully more details will follow soon.

If this was not intended then rollback to last week :) i feel for the people who put hardwork in for seals and think they should have thought this through. I worked on seals but not as much as some people.

agree with this thread SE need to close the divide between the rich and poor for 2.0 not make it bigger all new players come 2.0 are gonna look in the wards at low level gear and go "To hell with paying 50k for a pair of level 23 boots!" then get annoyed they have no way of getting gear and rage quit.

But who needs new players in a mmo anyway? >_>;

Well, thanks to all this ive come to the conclusion to go on one of the new servers when 2.0 hits, sad really, but do I have a choice? Im not botting, so no, i dont really. Also, my linkshell (which i love being in) has completely different times from me, (im european, ls is american mostly) meaning id have to move to an european server anyways

About gil sinks, they said they would make player housing, some houses so expensive you would have to earn 10 times of max gil etc just to buy it :P So making houses and selling house parts will be a giant part of the economy. (Of course, new players on old servers would get homeless).

I have never botted and never will, i like to work for my gear/gil its as good as sticking a cheat cartridge in and i have never done that or would want too. I am hoping they stop this event soon as if they cut the gil then what took me 2 years will be less than what somebody took 3 days to get....so loyal players get shafted and just because i have gil means i worked for it not everyone cheats.

Foundation Day is not forever! :P

Actually, 1000 million is more correct for 1,000,000,000 in many parts of the world, since the world "billion" has two different definitions.

There are many ways to make 5-10 Mil a day, depending on the DoL/DoH Classes you have. Also with just Battleclasses at 50 you can easy make 2-3 Mil a day, without even touching Atomos. How is this Game-breaking if you can make those amounts of Gils regardless? <_<

Because this is spawning gil into the economy. It's not coming from the pockets of other players.
