Exactly, and if this really triggers people somehow (which I find hard to believe), they could add a new filter that only matches you with people your level or lower.
The long and short as far as I'm concerned is that they need to be ilevel synced much more strictly than they currently are, and SE needs to find a solution for lower levels of most jobs feeling awful to play because they took all our skills away so they could give them back at a higher level and worse.
It can't possibly be that hard to let you keep your rotation and just scale the damage modifiers down to level-appropriate levels with traits or whatever...
I fall asleep in most of the runs. Luckily I only need to press W on my keyboard and nobody will notice.
I feel the raid itself are alright. As in their mechanics.
My problem are combination of iLv bloat, action potency creep, and mostly the state of job outside cap level.
Why they’re sacrificing over half of the game leveling progression into a boring slog for a comparatively lesser portion of cap level contents when there’s a level syncing feature, I don’t friggin’ know.
It reminds me of PSO2, where I (a melee) am running up to enemies to kill... oh wait... (ranged magical class) kills all the enemies in front me of due to being much higher in level. No resistance at all, one shot everything. Another game, WoW, felt similar. No resistance. I actually like the level sync in this game, because I get actual resistance from enemies, rather than over powering them, power creeping them, etc. I would not see a LVL100 BLM and think *wow, I look forward to having those skills* I would instead be thinking *ah, again I don't get to hit the enemies, which is what I'm here to do...*
Of course, who knows, could be wrong. But it needs to be tried and tested to see how people feel when LVL100s blast everything before you do.
It should have been fixed in ShB when it was made mandatory and the power creep was increasingly noticeable, but the development team's inaction signifies they are content with it being non-content (pun not intended). Of course, this is the same team that thinks its normal for Rival Wings to have one map forever.
Then the stat squish in EW made things worse, and this tedium has reflected in every alliance raid since, which are all boring and undertuned. This includes the continuous trend of having pointless intermediary mobs that have no mechanics and never cause a wipe. If they were more like Criterion mobs, then you'd have something more reasonable.
Adding an ilvl sync only slightly fixes the issue too; the final raids are just 30 ilvls below the cap. At the very least, every ARR and HW raid requires potency adjustments. I also agree with the job action issue, but it's more screaming into the void.
Your personal opinion of the relevance of the raids is irrelevant
The roulettes exist to fill queues for people queuing for the raids directly. If your presence is making it harder for the roulette to perform that function then you shouldn’t be able to access the roulette
For the record this applies to any roulette for me. No trial without rathalos and Hildebrand. No normal raids without all 5 raid sets and no alliance without ivalice or nier
You shouldn’t be allowed to warp the roulettes based on your opinion of the raid because otherwise shouldn’t the concentrated hatred of CT be justification that it shouldn’t be on the roulette
There are 100% creative ways to utilize traits to cap potencies at different level brackets should we be allowed to use our abilities. I don't think anyone in this camp genuinely wants to just blast through stuff with no resistance. We can have both, with effort.
