Maori lizard centaurs could be kind of cool. I don't have much faith in them to execute it well after Tural, but the idea is neat.

I guess a lot would depend on how they approach why the Warrior of Light would need to journey there in the first place.

Even so, it does sound like it has potential to be interesting - that entry from Encyclopaedia Eorzea:

"While some areas remain uninhabitable even today (byproduct of the Allagan Empire invasion), those which have been repopulated remain recluse and very rarely welcome contact with the civilizations of the northern hemisphere, ofttimes attacking any who approach, whether it be by sea or by air. Because of this, very little of the region is known, including even the most basic of geographical information."

... certainly makes it sounds as if the Warrior of Light would be an unwelcome visitor.

I hope not. Icelands are usually the worst looking, most boring zones due to just how limited you are with flora, fauna and terrain.

I am still bitter that they took the beautiful map that was 1.0 Coerthas and made it into a winter wasteland just because Yoshida was bent on having a ice map instead of just creating a new map for it.

100% agree. Ice zones invariably look ghastly.
