I am on the opposite camp, I like the wings but they are too small, tiny wings need to be *just large enough* for you to see about 40% of them from the front, these are too tiny.

The outfit isn't my taste because I hate nearly all of the modern looking clothes in xiv
I now expect a half-assed seasonal event every time from SE at this point. The last good one I remember was a valentines event where you could queue up and go through a tiny trial with 1 other person. I wish they did more stuff like that instead- I would have liked this go round if they had done a ghost mansion event, where you sneak around or do the ultra annoying follower mechanic but you're trying to avoid being spotted by voidlings with another player.
I'm a big fan of the glams for this event and I got them for my alt which I rarely do b/c effort. I don't mind it being short b/c I just want to get the items ASAP so I go back to my usual routine like many others I've skipped all the holiday text for ages now.
Honestly, I prefer the one unisex outfit instead of having them split clothes up for the event b/c there are just so many pants that turn into skirts or shorts for female characters already and I am tired of seeing: the DNC set in DT.
The ideal way for them to handle that would be for how they handle Valentione outfits, where masc and femme outfits are separate and you can get both, and while usually take a year for them to get updated, both male and female characters can wear either version eventually.
Just remove event quests at this point and add w/e junior graphic designer made to mogstation instantly. Too much work for indie devs.
I think the main beef a lot of people (Myself included) have is that XIV's seasonal events have always been shallow compared to other MMOs, but it's been getting even worse lately where the events have literally no gameplay elements outside of the short questline that rewards whatever the new glams/cosmetic items are.
The All Saint's Wake events in particular used to have special instances tied to them but that's conspicuously missing this go-around.
LOTRO still has the best holiday events with actually fun games, and each event you get tokens every day you play the event games and quests so you can buy past event items from vendors (which is something really needed in games that go on for decades), rather than having to spend real money to buy past rewards, you just need to grind the event for them.
