Please don't put Wuk Lamat in the patches

I didn't know it was going to be the same team. All we can hope is that feedback results in better oversight moving forward. New talent has to be allowed to try new things, but someone should have stepped in after about 40 Speak to Wuk Lamats.

It is alarming to me that even in 7.0 there was no one who looked at the quest design and saw a problem, or at least no one high up enough to course correct.

Wuk isnt the problem, it's the writers.

I actually disagree and agree sort of. The reason is, they've already ruined her via exposure. That's what's so critical about this feedback. She could transform completely, I still think her presence has been so egregious that she needs a break.

The writing in general has a slightly better chance to improve based on player feedback. But no amount of feedback will make Speak to Wuk Lamat ok for now.

Ah yes. Wuk Lamat appeared organically into the story, simply manifested within it due to a glitch and the writers could do nothing about it.

My problem with Lyse was that she was a nothing character. She doesn't have a personality. She also felt incredibly shoehorned into a story that I felt like should have been about Raubahn and M'Nagoo. Wuk Lamat meanwhile is every single shonen anime trope balled into a buff catgirl. I personally very slightly prefer her to Lyse, but the bar is so low Satan is tripping over it in hell.

7.1 is definitely already written. Even 7.2 is probably in its's final story development.

I think 7.3 will be the earliest we might see a change in direction, maybe even 7.4 because they don't want to disrupt their plans for the story finale patches.
I wouldn't even be surprised if the original planing was all about having her come with us because they thought people would love WL so much and now they sit there and wonder what to do.

I think at best we will have trailers that don't focus to much at the story or "hide" Wuk Lamat secenes and are more about the other content.
At worst they might double down on all this. Yoshida protecting the writers and saying that the feedback was mean or something.
If they do double down all the way to 8.0, disregarding all feedback then they deserve every hate they can get and I hope it's the end of that studio as evil as that sounds.

Realistically WL will be in the patches 7.1 and 7.2 probably and then be written out.
One thing i'm pretty sure though is that she will be big and central in the patch artworks.

yeah honestly said. i do not mind it if the warrior of light (us) take a step back to let other people shine.
But they really, REALLY forced wuk lamat in EVERYTHING. i have said to my pocket healer several times how Wuk lamat seems to be more of a vow of reason then a vow of resolve.
SO MUCH TALKING. just the contstant talking. like holy hell girl.... at some point your enemies will NOT listen to whatever you have to say. STOP TALKING.

and then when we do get our badass moment in the final trial she drops in again to take the Literal Front of the battle on a raised platform too.
the devs have Forced Wuk lamat to be the ultimate star of the expansion that even outshines the warrior of light.

i like her character really. it was refreshing but at this very moment AFTER the story... i think i could have gone with 30% LESS Wuk Lamat. they ruined her character for me.
if i see her in the patches in more then 5 quests i'm going to skip cutscenes.

almost feels like the devs really get a high of WL.
they added female hrothgars and the people went wild.
they made a female hrothgar for dawntrail and shown her in endwalker and people went wild.
they forced her in almost every damn cutscene and nobody liked it.
if they keep forcing her in then yes, they probably get a hard one for wuk lamat themselves. if they don't then at least they consider player feedback.

I'm still waiting for her to show up in the raids Arcadion lol.
