Dawntrail's 8-man raid discussion

I completed the third tier before I had to leave, for IRL stuff, and so far I'm enjoying it.

It's interesting, I have a feeling it's gonna end up with the WoL saying using souls is unnecessary and extremely immoral in front of absolutely everyone, using the fights as proof, and his recollection of events in EW.

NPC's have already commented on it and you're already famous by the third tier by not consuming them. By the last tier, we might go without using them to summon allies, and just rely on Azem's crystal, showing the citizenry you don't have to use souls to succeed.

Also, this is the 2nd raid tier where the 1st boss we beat returns as a ally. Thought that was neat.

Adding my thumbs up for this, these fights were fun as heck and its just normal! And the music is so good! <3

I was miserable after the MSQ but these fights brought a smile back, loved them. Massive damage output for a normal raid compared to previous expansions so as a healer I was sure healing a hella lot more than I normally would. Also used Aetherial Manipulation more than once. ;o

Arenas are charming but very silly, story and characters are simple and inoffensive but fun enough.

To be honest...

Normal raids have never, ever been so fun.

This is the best normal raid tier we've ever had.

It's fun and all, but they could've gone a little more ham with it. Their first introductions with them walking up and machinations playing could've been a lot more exciting. Even the intros on the tv screens was kinda lackluster. Guess they saved their budget for the actual fights.

I love love love the reactive announcer calls!

The battle encounters have been amazing this expansion and I think the raid is taking the cake!

I don’t know how they made the raid battles even better than the other battles (dungeons and trials) but it’s fun, feels refreshing, and the music is absolutely a bop.

The only very slight miss is the 3rd battle. Seemed more like the standard affair with that one and also an unusually not painful 3rd fight for the 8-man raid.
