I dunno, I can reek the salt from malms away.

After playing FF16, I'm convinced sucking all gameplay depth out is the goal.
I like the busyness of the class but they really need to let you split job actions, or at least decide what skills you want to turn into each other. As it is, it kind of forces you into a particular hotbar layout to not be quite awkward. Alas, for me this ended up being quite awkward as my awakening combo ended up being 2, 3, shift 1, shift 2, 9, which doesn't flow well at all.
I redid my hotbars so it can flow better, but now it's not set up similarly to my other classes in terms of where AoE and such is. I don't think that needing your hotbars in a specific configuration to make sense is great.
I do enjoy the class though, the aesthetic and busyness is great, it's just the automatic skill change that I am not a fan of.
I agree Viper is really fun as it is please don't make it easier or slow it down. If people want to play viper I feel it would be good for the players to adjust with the job instead of vice versa so people can grow, their capabilities instead of dumbing everything down.
Agreed, it's really not difficult at all and it's basically a game of whack a mole with how you just need to hit the buttons as they light up. The game tells you what you need to press so you don't need to use your head at all. The only fun part about it is how "busy" it is, which gives it the fast pace that is literally a part of the job fantasy. Taking out the quickness of the job would make it unbelievably boring and not enjoyable, and also detract from what little job identity it seems to have.
Viper is suffering from success.. that's why they need to simplify it
I like that VPR is more fast paced it's actually a refreshing change from the other jobs with the long GCD's, its finally a job that has good involvement and feels less like a traditional ffxiv class but more WoW like, we need more of this, NOT less!!
SE please leave VPR alone!
I hope they don't change it. It's really sad to me that the game's direction is always decided by the supremely unskilled Japanese community
Haven't really dipped into Viper yet as I've been spending time on my main jobs but this still seems like a massive knee jerk reaction. The job has literally only been out for less than a week at this point There's no reason to make any substantial changes to it (yet). Just let people actually get used to the way it plays and, if they don't like it, they can play something more to their style or tastes.
