Just in regards to one point only, Misery is factually a DPS gain so on that point there simply isn't anything to disagree with. In a world where buff windows do not exist, it wouldn't be. But they do, so it is.

Cure I ....cure III ....whats the point? , cure I is useless , cure III is nice aoe healing but we have so many aoe healing options that feels pointless (outside level sync 1-50)
Medica II ( III ) heals the most add Plenary to it
+ rapture
++ assize
+ asylum (aoe regen + 10% healing boost)
+ bell (that is only needed in savage-ulltimate , outside that is overhealing 99% of time , is nice in the attacks that drop everyone to 1hp ...but even then meh)
+ temperance (again is used as mitigation and buffed heal , but like bell is usually overheals)
HEALERS CD's feel pointless in 90% of the content. On content that matters....well its FFXIV , u gonna use CD 1 on X mechanic, CD 2 for Y mechanic , and CD 3 on Z mechanic.
again what we got in this expansion ?
+25 potency on medica III regen (every other heal got an upgrade aoe heal)
+ Glare IV (only usable every 2 min )
+ aoe barrier CD , only usable after temperance (2 min again)
no new skill to speak off....feels like SE was lazy as hell this expansion on skills.
I think giving WHM more damage and healing abilities mixed together might be an okay way to have an equilibrium between it and AST.
ASTs buffs really overshadow WHM so leaning more into damage heal combos could be good. It's basically how holy priest works in wow so whm having good pure healing and personal damage could mitigate the lack of utility.
It’s funny because that’s what it felt like it was leaning towards at a time, with assize and lilys.
Then SGE came and kinda took that identity before it was even started with WHM…
At this point I would even take just having WHM hit as hard as Sage and leave it at that, it would at least make sense since they’re both healers with no rdps utility.
WHM does already hit harder than SGE, the combination of assize, misery and POM usually puts WHM just ahead in full uptime fights and way ahead in fights that have downtime
WHM also benefits more from buffs while SGE is useless at altering its burst window
The imbalance comes that 0.2% more DPS isn’t worth the fact that SGE is a shield healer and while worse than SCH is better than WHM on every other front
SGE is damage healer in name only at this point. They either need to actually make it a damage healer or not because playing actual damage healers in other MMOs makes sage looks like a complete joke.
Might be a clutch but giving a white mage Res 3 or rename spell Pheonix feather to self res themselves might not be a bad idea. White mage desperately needs something. Either a direct DPS boost or something unique. I believe every job needs to bring one unique something to every encounter but I guess that would change the meta to have everyone mastery multiple classes in raids. Dont know.

As of today, Misery can be either neutral or a gain. For them to be a dps gain, the number of buffed Miseries has to outweight the loss Glares from casting Solace/Raptures outside raidbuff windows. Remember that Misery is the same as dumping 4 Glares IIIs in a single GCD. Should that Misery buffed, you’re essentially gaining 3 buffed Glare IIIs within the raidbuff windows. Otherwise, they’re a neutral.
As for MP economy, I think today’s WHM is about on par to SGEs, provided you remember to burn unneeded lilies for unneeded heal lol.
