Cancel your Dawntrail pre-orders

I haven't cancelled, but I know I'll be playing WoW's expansion more. There seems to be more thing coming over there than here for now.

I would describe me as a generally kind and helpful person in rl and also ingame with a great amount of patience, common sense and a tolerance to a certain amount of people's bs. But I'm sure we all have our limits.
I never was one to bend my personality to someone else's will or liking. I wasn't raised that way by my parents and I certainly won't start the bending at my age now. Pretending to be someone I'm not is just faking your personality. Something I greatly despise btw.

As for the "find similarly minded individuals"... I do already have two people close to me, but we all also found a lot of other like-minded individuals in the other mmo I mentioned.

As for example...
You stand in Limsa and ask a question in the map chat, maybe dumb question to veteran players. I noticed that more often than not the answers are pretty stupid, misleading or just disrespectful to new players, unless there won't be any answer at all. Not gonna mention the newbie chat, which is just downright toxic and ruled by drama lamas all over the place.

In the other mmo there actually were a lot of veteran players standing in the starter areas for new characters, already eagerly waiting to help newbies with all kinds of actual useful information, some players even handing out buff food randomly to total strangers for free just because it's a nice gesture. You need to tp to a destination far away and don't have the waypoint yet? No prob! Just ask and someone will put you into their party, tp to where you need to go so you can just tp to friend.

I think in this specific comparison the average age of players in both games plays a huge role in community behaviour.

Tho I'm aware it might be completely different on other servers in FF14 than on my home server.

I see the sock puppet accounts are out in full-force today, what with the hyperbolic threads and general pot-stirring throughout others.

If I could not pay for later expansions and keep playing the older versions of these jobs I would but sadly CBU3 does not want to make legacy servers so I will just have to leave this game until it becomes better and I suggest you do the same!

Unless they changed the terms of service regarding order placement and cancels just recently the topic "How do I cancel my pre-order" says it IS possible as long as it hasn't entered the shipping process.

i tend to be warey of people who tell me "how honest" they are. because 9/10 times theyre just rude. so i wouldn't go saying alot that you have low tolerance and such because others might read into it the same way

so i can agree with you that the limsa shout chat is just full of these kinda people. but you know its not ALL of them. some servers are much less toxic than others and thats good because you dont get a lot of the toxic responses in shout chat, also i mean. you can just ignore or Blist these players.

from what i can see your on my neighbour server shiva. and i haven't heard much bad about it other than its a german pseudo server. i dont know, maybe just ask in NN instead? assuming you have a crafting or battle mentor.

I still curious is there better MMO for someone with a 9-5 that doesnt have any P2W aspects or require ungodly amounts of grinding?

I preordered for the earring which will serve me extremely well for a very long time. Probably wont even get to much dawntrail content while dawtrail is current. Too much I still want to do in older content. So in my case the preorder wasnt exactly a preorder as I got the earring immediately and am already getting the benefit of it.

As for class changes. I mained a BLM for years on my posting character. Got tired of it and swapped to my old original character who is a BRD. No Idea how I am going to feel about the changes or which class I will play going forward until I give them a try. I did see a video from Wesk Alber yesterday where he said the BLM actually felt good with the changes which he didn't expect to be true. So at the very least I am going to take Myrany here to a training dummy when dawtrail launches and see how I feel about it myself. WHo knows maybe she might become my active character again.

im just astonished in a really bad way that people actually have to JUSTIFY why they want to play dawntrial. like its some kind of cardinal sin to still enjoy the other 99% of the game that DOESNT revolve around job design
