Upcoming mogtome rewards look a bit... boring and uninspired...

We all have to wait 6 months for FF14 7.0. I'm looking forward to the Mog Mog Collection to bridge this long time. This time even in two phases, garnished with regular weekly Minimog and big Mog Mog.
Unfortunately, I can only get the Mameshiba bandana in phase 1. I already have the rest.
In phase 1 I particularly miss the last two Gwiebers, in phase 2 the first two Lynxes would be nice. Especially for the players who don't have the skills to pass the necessary tests in FF14.
Also missing are special emotes, companions in this event that would help that everyone has to collect at least 300 stones.
It's a shame that only having to collect 100 stones for a missing scarf is far too little.

Mogtome events have always been scraping the bottom of the barrel in terms of filler content.

The rewards seem pretty basic for what we've seen in past events. Things that aren't too hard to get if you're max level, but having an alternate way for a while to get them through this. Or a chance for lower levels to get some things they can't easily get yet. The thing to remember about the very last one is that it was the 10th anniversary event. They added a lot more rewards than they usually do. So this is more the normal type of list.

Also seems like it's going to be two parts so probably two sets of reward lists.

This. Especially considering the only exclusive item is usually over an priced earring.

Hairstyle to potentially make your character unique? How about a free fantasia? Your avatar loves a style of boots thats only possible to have through the cash shop, right? How about a mount, or rare dyes?

Well, too Flippin bad. You'll take your earrings and like it.

I'm not even so much upset about the poor rewards as I am upset that Rival Wings queues will probably die very quickly if people aren't motivated by the rewards to queue for it.

I have plenty of money and am not missing much. I just want more PvP fun that isn't just my literal 3000th Frontline :(

This wasn't over a month though, we were running for 5 months due to team losses and having a lot of people who have never Savage or EXed before, I spent that entire tome running DR any time I could. (On OCE people dont use Duty Finder much instead just jumping to PF, even for CT sometimes lol).

Reading the replies I remembered something from awhile back that explains why we dont get new items or more content all that much: "That will cost you a raid tier" and "Small broke Indie company" if i want to be really cynical lol.
I think a lot of us (Including myself) forget that SE only gives the team a shoestring budget for whatever reason. Games their cash cow and they wont give it a proper budget lol. Thats why we have the Mogstation.
A lot of these groundbreaking changes we were told were impossible in the past, happened not because SE put the time and research into fixing the issue, but because one staff member or group went off in their own time and made it work off the clock.

Still. least they aren't using AI to make content for us lol.

Hopefully the second half of the Mogtome event will be better as 6 months is a pretty damn long time to leave people without new content and most i know are already pretty burnt out. Games still riding a WoW player influx and i dont think many of them will stick it out once content dries up as we have already seen lol.

Another meme accessory? Give me more colored scarves or frilly stuff like the edenmorn one.

Nobody thought there was anything wrong with the moogle tome reward list until they had one where they went all out on the anniversary reward list. They weren't designed to be shit. This is much the same as we usually get when it's not a special event.
