Upcoming mogtome rewards look a bit... boring and uninspired...

Is it me or is almost all of that easy to get, either solo or with very little effort?

Dont they want people to actually have something to keep them playing in the content drought to Dawntrail?

Most of that stuff a 90 can unsync and get in 5 mins to an hour or less lol.
Id be excited if they had rewards from Shadowbringers rarer content, maybe toss in some Stormblood Thiefs maps to help get a little closer that impossible title, toss in a Khloe mount and minion or two.

I like the Moogle tome events but putting almost entirely common trash as rewards is not going to cut it for keeping people playing IMO.

I'm entirely indifferent about it because I never thought Moogle tomes were amazing content in the first place.
It just takes away from the actual content in favor of farming the same roulette slop for the 300th time.

Why would I bother farming extreme trials for mounts, or treasure maps for Orchestrion rolls, or engage with the Ishgard restoration when I can just get those rewards in 2 years time by mindlessly grinding Praetorium or Labyrinth of the Ancients (again and again and again and again)?
Sure the content is old but completely devaluing it always felt odd to me.

Love the new systems. but Mogtomes have never had the super super duper rare items that fetch high marketboard prices or take a lot of real effort to get. You will never see a Khole/Faux mount because if you it would take away the value of doing Unreal/WT, Nor will you see any of the big ticket Bozja mounts because people still farm Bozja for that payday upon getting one. However, there is gil to be made here if you know what items to get and to sit on and wait for the supply to dry up.

Take me for example I do a lot of Bozja because I find it fun and is a nice passive income, so when new players need to clear DR/CCL/DAL or just in the zones they can find some stupid person who helps carry them through the content. due to me having the Bozja gear and being willing to dump lost actions and essences. Now if you make some of those big ticket items easy to get it would disincentivise me from being as active in there.

Yes and no. I've done that and made some millions when supply ran dry...but it took probably 2 years of just sitting on a bunch of items which is not really worth it. It's also entirely speculation whether or not the supply runs dry enough in the first place because those items could show up again in the next moogle tomes event.

On the other hand, a lot of items still retain value, the hairstyle from Zandor is a nice passive income for me that has been in events in the past. I think when items get completely crushed in a Moogle event is telling they have no real intrinsic value other than the scarcity. Part of the reason why I don't really go after minions.

Yup, but I got a bunch from doing roulettes instead of dealing with Pagos. easy 10mil from just stuffing something in my retainer. Also, 10 million on Balmung was an outlier price on Balmung it sat at 2-4mil on Balmung before the event.

That said i got lucky when i was in a DRS static, took advantage of the activity and got as much farming done as i could, got lucky with 5 golden Gabrials.
Used 1, sold the other 4 for 60 million and got myself a Mansion for the first time ever lol.

Man 5? that is some great luck.
But yeah making new items for the Mog events would be cool, Personally I don't see it happening though.
That dragon meta mount feels so out of place just feels like something they developed but no longer needed and went to the cutting room only to be brought back as the EW meta mount lmao.
