[RANT] Dearest Sage Mains

As scholar, if I have a sage in my team, I just let them do all the shielding. Then I let them do all the mitigation as well. In fact, I just let the fairy do the healing and sage can pick up the slack because they are better than scholar in pretty much every way.

I'm just the broil bot with occasional crit buff and zoomies.

Except you know; the lower damage, less shielding capability, less utility, less mitigation and worse death recovery

Problem solved. Sages don't need to spend 900 MP and then wait for a shield to break to do something that Scholar does for just 400 MP.

Why?
Why does it always come down to removing things mindlessly and turning everything into the same thing until it all becomes a grey boring mess?
On easy content Toxikon and GCD shields are never needed because damage is laughable and movement heavy mechanics are nonexistent so you can cast bot, and on difficult content you are GCD shielding constantly so you are getting the stacks back throughout the fight and have superior movement dps over Ruin2

If you think you need to shield enough in high end content that you are drowning in enough toxicon stacks to rival ruin 2 you either have never done high end content or you have a gold parse in overhealing

99% of the time you just run with the 3 toxicon stacks you start with and never fish for more unless there is downtime

True. Imagine all those GCDs wasted just to replenish those sting stacks that could've been Dosis. If you are in dire need of sting stacks, that could also mean that you do not have enough mastery of the fight to position yourself so you can maximize being a turret healer.

The amount of bias and hypocrisy on this forum I swear, Idk of it vs dead by daylight forums which is worst. Imagine if neutral aspected helios shield also deleted sch ones as well which again makes 0 sense at all that ast gcd shield can work with sch ones /sage ones but sage/sch cant work. This again is just poor design on SE part.

Also the fact is that one min you hear from people oh shields become irrelevant outside of ultimates yet its being complaint about for casual content? So again this post do not even mention complaints on savage/ultimates because everyone know its always a 1 pure healer 1 shield barrier for those content.

Complaining about casual content that does like 0 damage when your gear is maxed out just seem like an excuse to whine more about sage mains from entitled sch mains. Also even though toxicon does have its uses at certain times its so bashed on but ruin 2 with its far weaker potency is not an issue lol. I can pop my weaker E prog and I and my party if they are in 600+ gear everyone takes very measly damage or if i want I slap holos on with the E prog and its 0 damage on everyone.

^your weird vendetta against SCH mains doesn’t change the fact that weaker shields shouldn’t override stronger shields, AST doesn’t play into it at all nor did people bring up ruin 2

Funny thing is how you mention sage has a worst recovery and less mitigation? I think you mean sch has the worst recovery. You got to resummon your lil pixie wasting dps time, if aether flow on cool down its a wrap.

If die as a sage my addergall is still going up and then I can just pop my ogcs and immediately fast mp recovery even if worst case lucid is on cd as well which I never been in that situation of where I had no way to recovery mp. My kardia stays on who is on as well taro/kera/holos is migitation? the only thing that sch have that is mitigation is sacred soil? Seraph gives shields not mitigation where holos give both lol. Lower damage? sage dosis spell is the highest of the 4 healers and there is phelgma. pani and hami is utility it makes stack mechanics like the popular akh ron mechs a joke. Healer damage always been whm,sge/sch/ast so idk how sage have lower dps lol when its always been in second place after whm.

I never said SGE had worse recovery but the fairy not being affected by weakness is a factor to consider, regardless if I want recovery from death id rather be on a regen healer

SCH has 3 AOE mitigations (fey illumination, sacred soil and expedience), SGE has two so you are wrong on that point if you include single target protraction is the equivalent mitigation to taurochole so SCH still wins out

Damage SCH wins because chain offers more rDPS than SGE does with dosis, SCH is the top DPS in at least 12 of the 15 current expansion savage fights because of how strong chain is

This is why I say you have a vendetta against SCH, I’m fully willing to admit SGE’s benefits (better lossless mobility, better job cohesion, faster MP recovery on death, stronger in criterion) you are either wilfully ignorant of why SCH is better in most fields or make random points up that anyone with access to the skills list can disprove
