It sure it will be, achievement progression will be on hiatus until the event returns. I think even after Garo returned the achievements that were halted while it was gone started back up from where they left off.

"I already have x wins"

says those who grind it 18 hours a day.

How about those who have a job and only have some time in the evenings? This achievement blows tbh. If it were 100 total round wins, it would be way better. 100 overall wins? Stupid. You wade through the stupid cutscenes and downtime. You deal with the stupid snapshots. All for your ping to screw you over in the last minute rush up the stairs at the end of the third round. Absolutely stupid for a limited time event. 2 months to get 100 wins during major North American holidays is the stupidest decision.

You got 3 other achievements along the way, with one title at the last and final one.

It's basically the same with the levequests, hunts and other gold saucer ones - Giving the most dedicated ones a badge of honor.
Plus it will come around back pretty often, likely during the Make it Rain events that will fill the gaps until Dawntrail.

So I think its fine. Consider it a long-term goal of yours.

Long term on a time limited event, suuuuuure.
They only said there will be reruns at irregular intervals. Where are you getting the info that it will return often.

Since its a Gold Saucer Event this very likely will be used to partially fill the gaps until Dawntrail's release, partially with the Make it Rain campaign and perhaps also in lulls between the usual annual events.

One can wonder about the layoff situation over there, though, and if that could affect any future events with it.

You are literally assuming though, we have 0 proof of anything, you're just taking wild guesses to justify the achievement.

I ran it entirely solo on a Wednesday morning here in Japan. I was the only person. All I had to do was complete each stage in the 3 or so minutes and I got my win. If you do it during off times you’ll likely have less competition.

I do. And I think such achievements have a place in the game for those who are dedicated enough to do them.
For everyone else, there are the rewards from doing the event itself. And there are a few things to get what I saw in the prize vendor.

Wouldn't be the 1st time, the Firmament achievements/titles though they came back with each step the they were limited time ones as they are no longer available.
