questions though. are you in the US or a US territory? It's peculiar that paypal is giving you so much trouble. do you remember what your specific error was? also depending on your funding source that could be a problem. you can set up a direct route from your bank or using credit/debit cards. in my experience with XIV and XI, cards and SE just don't mix too well.

Man oh man, I where do I begin with my issues with SE... I used to live in a US territory, but not on US mainland. But, back then, FFXI accepted cards from ANYWHERE. Then they changed some crap about merging SE accounts with PlayOnline accounts and it forever screwed me because of where I lived (I lived in the CNMI). It screwed me so hard that I had ABSOLUTELY NO WAY of playing FFXI without lying about information and making it all complicated. Anyways, long story short, I just moved to mainland and now I can play. So I'm trying to pay for FFXIV, but I cannot. It's pissing me off. I am not a forum monitor (people, when not having to speak face-to-face with other people, become quite bold), nor am I a hardcore player. I simply enjoy Final Fantasy and the whole franchise and I want to play FFXIV when I have the time. The issue is that SE is making it frustrating for just a casual player.

I refuse to use the other options of this crysta crap and CNB. Just use my credit card like every other company does!

Put bluntly, yes.

i just use the $20 game card to buy Crysta and it works out fine. month 1-$20, month 2- $20 and month 3 -free( due to leftover crysta from first 2 months)

Do I need to order these game cards online or can I go to a local store and buy them?

both can get at some gas stations and walmart and walgreens.Or you can get them online just type Ultimate game card in google and you can order it digitally and they'll give you the cards number
another perk to this is its one less company to get your info say if you just went in and payed cash for the card

be a red card with a guys face on front cant post pics on here for some reason think its my browser

I can care less but you are being rude when some people are really try to help. i myself thought you was being a troll like most people do when they complain about something. If your CC is not working you could try and buy the time cards at few store like walmart,7 eleven,best buy,cvs.

You should check with your bank it may not be SE why your CC was not allow but your bank blocking SE from taking your money.

I may end up doing this. I am really fighting to get my credit card accepted so that I can get that legacy status. Unless I can get the legacy status with these game cards? As I type this, my cell phone is on speaker while I am "holding" for the next customer service representative from Square Enix. I have called three times already and have waited for 10-15 minutes each time and have yet to speak with anyone.

It is so sad that such a great game has such s*** customer service. Otherwise I would easily just say 'screw it' and play another game. But FFXIV has just been such a fun game so far. /cry

yes you can get legacy status if you buy enough time card to = 90days need to register for a 90-day subscription before Saturday, June 30, 2012 in order to fulfill the requirements needed to qualify for the Legacy Campaign.

Also did you make your account before may 31? if not then you wont get legacy even if you pay for 90days.

Well good sir, to the people that have been trying to be helpful, I humbly thank them. To the rest, well... you know.

And as for game cards, will I be able to obtain the legacy status? I am currently *still* on hold with SE customer service over the phone. I really just want to ask them if the game cards will still grant me legacy status if I use em before the 30th!

(Maybe I should start a new thread to get the right answer and risk people calling me a flamer and complaining whiner? ...Or just the latter?)
