Revert Shatter back to the Original Map

New Shatter is really, really bad.

They have silently acquiesced to player demands regarding bad changes in the past, like returning Summoners their regen heals for their Egis. They later re-added Dismantle to Machinist. Nothing's completely out of the question, so that means we shouldn't atleast let them know just how bad we feel this new map is.

I did check some of the replies on the jp side of the forum and they have pretty much the very same opinion about the new version of shatter, and the general consensus is that is just not fun to play it at all.

Like the new layout; hate the spawn rate of ice. Lower max points and scale ice back.

Glad the JP side is ripping into them as well, we just want maps that are fun to play on. As flawed as Onsal, and Seal Rock are there is still fun to be had on them. I miss playing base games on the old shatter. Killing monks attacking base in 2v1's, Taking other teams undefended bases, flicking people off ledges as you take contested crystals on bridges. There was always a way individuals could run off on their own and still contribute to the team as a whole.

I think this seems like fun idea :)

I'm fine with the new map layout..
the issue is the respawned nodes.
(remove respawn = fixed)

I played it the other day for the first time, and they really did fix a lot of issues people were complaining about. As for me not having MNK bridge trolls baiting my team's noobs was great. There was a decent amount of pvp just none of the big standoff in the middle where one team willingly sandwiches themselves. That I do not miss.

This^ the matches seem sooo drawn now on the rework map of shatter.. Longer than Seal Rock, and Onsal too me. I don't queue up forit anymore after trying it a few times on launch day.

The thing about the new shatter is that not only does it not encourage PvP, people are not pvping on it. Everytime I queue for it I see people running past each other on opposing teams, theres a thousand bards just plonking crystals the entire game.

But I guess we can't have PvP. Can't wait for borderland ruins to come back as another "Whack the pinata for points!" map.

Wheres our king of the hill type maps? Why not innovate and put a capture the flag style map? How about an all out deathmatch for points, no PvE included.

I think the PvP devs need to go out and play other MMORPG's, and experience what works, and what doesn't work. Steal, and innovate on their good ideas and throw whatever doesn't work in the garbage.
