I saw a pc-ps4 controller vid but it was all about wireless bluetooth. can you plug a controller into your pc/laptop instead, that seems way easier

well I guess I have just one last quibble.
I already own the shb preorder bonuses and the endwalker early access/preorder stuff on ps4.
Now, do I need to rebuy those on pc or can I just buy the normal licenses?
No it would be bound by account (square enix/mog station account and your personal character account) as would the CEs digital items not the Playstation and acknowledgement of that will be in your se mog station account info it self like the check marks in my picture for thr Collectors Editions and other stuff.
(Yes I have the CE and pre-order for every expansion no matter if it's physical or digital)
I would highly recommend logging into your mog station se account and looking at all of this stuff.
You can always use the PS4/PS5 controllers wired, tho doing do with the PS4 is maybe not the best idea as the USB port on the DualShock 4 controller was designed primarily for charging. It can easily wear out. The DualSense 5 Controller has better ports.
If you want to use them wireless then your best bet for the DS4 controller is trying to get the Sony USB Wireless Adapter on JP eBay (it has long been discontinued in the west), the DS5 controller works natively with regular bluetooth adapters (but not with said Sony DS4 adapter).
DS4 isn’t required. Just need to hold share and the PS button while connecting to PC blue tooth. Go into XIV and calibrate it, works just fine. I used it for both ps4 and ps5 controller.
edit: sorry, i thought you meant the DS4 program, but either way, you don’t need an adapter to connect the controllers.
Ok new query.
I don't want a pc, I have no idea where we'd put one in our apartment.
If I buy a muster-passing gaming laptop, what are packet ports and do I do anything about that?
It says on the endwalker spec page "Communication ports. If you are using a router (because who uses broadband????) please set up your ports so the following packets may pass thru:
[Ports that may be used]
TCP: 80, 443," etc.
Note: I do have a laptop but it is not nearly capable of running 14, however it COULD run gw2. however it only ran at maybe 20fps so it wasnt something I coukd really stick with. With this in mind, are my ports gud nuff already?
I need recs for game laptops. Im very on a budget so nothing over $1000. Id like 16gb ram/500gb storage but no jack about other specs all of that is gibberjabber to me.
