Excessive amount of lv50/60 synced content is dragging down the skill level?

Then sign up for the later raids and force a proc. The daily reward for alliance roulette is not worth it anyway. There are more efficient ways to get tomes. I haven’t queued for AR in about 4-5 months. I just run Aglaia once per week for the token for jobs and sometimes one for WT. I get my tomes from hunt trains ( plus I get nuts and tons of materia)

I did specifically queued for Syrcus Tower yesterday on my main for my WT. I had a choice between that and Orbonne. While Orbonne is more interesting, it takes much longer for the same end result.

I love when people quote a sentence and straight up ignore what they quoted

It takes forever to force proc the higher raids because the roulette that fills the other 23 spaces is constantly being starved of participants because of CT, even during peak on the busy servers it can take over 30 minutes to get orbronne or TABP, but you know damn well the second you give up and enter the roulette you’ll be in CT in 4 seconds

The latter doesn't provide the xp buff of actually queueing through roulette so....probably not a solution.

not an issue on my server unless I queue at off hours. Besides, what You mention wasn’t in your post. Maybe you said it earlier but I won’t go back and read all your posts.

The XP from Alliance Roulette is poor anyway. Aside from Levellings and Frontlines, roulette doesn’t give much XP and I usually don’t bother with it.

As much as I despise the act of iLv cheesing for depriving the other’s potential source of fun for their own gain (I understand why they do it, but I will never agree nor support it. I personally think it’s sociopathic), at the very least I think we can agree that the blame is still largely on dev’s oversight for not adjusting the reward properly.

Setting a minimum threshold for normal reward based on queued iLv to character’s minimum achievable iLv (I.e. a lv80 will only get proper reward if they queued in with iLv430 gears or higher. Anything lower than that will incur penalty that reduce their reward) could probably solve it in addition to increasing the later ARs rewards. But I’m no designer so ‘eh’ /shrug

It should take story progress into consideration. I had 3 jobs at 90 on an alt at the beginning of Stormblood because of Pvp. I don’t do AR roulette unless asked to but I know of other players who reach level 90 in Stormblood even if they minimally PVP: play a single job, do roulettes and with XP buffs it is pretty easy. The thing is, You can’t even access the 400 tomestone gear before the end of that expansion and getting higher gear from the MB is totally useless (unless you want to solo certain content unsynched) as the content where it could be used remains locked behind the MSQ anyway.

There are also legitimate reasons to queue for CT even in BiS gear (WT and getting old relic weapons are examples).

I have PLD DRG DNC BRD BLM.... not a clue how to play them though because everything was around level 24 or 50 when queueing.
Its also a bit down to the fact that Devs keep deleting actions each expac and leaving them fairly broken pre-expac.

the game provides you with all the means to learn your jobs. Roulettes are not the only thing in this game. Also, I get more lvl 70-80 levelling when doing roulette than sub 60 if I queue solo with a higher level job on a role in need.

I don't have an issue with player skill level in casual content. When player skill is relevant, then I start caring about it. If CT raids required a skill level to clear it, then I would care about it. I hope that makes sense.

In regards to roulettes, I really only have an issue with Alliance Raids. My issue is you can have 23 level 90s in the queue, and the one player who is level 52 will drag every single one of those players into CT. Now I get there is the limited option, the roulette isn't necessary to acquire tomes/exp, and so forth. I have even mentioned these arguments myself. However, there is just something not right about that circumstance. Not right at all. It feels extremely counterproductive towards what the devs should be focusing on: Giving the players a fun and enjoyable experience.

I would be VERY interested in seeing the numbers of the most played instances (dungeons) in the game. Prae/Castrum and the CT raids have got to be among the top, if not the top. However, at least the devs had to decency to keep Castrum/Prae out of the standard roulettes. And by that I mean they kept it that way even after the changes. I see no reason why not to yeet CT right TF out of the alliance raid roulettes, especially considering that those raids are a requisite to so much other content in the game. Make them their own roulette an compensate players thoroughly for enduring the instance for the umpteenth time, or redesign these instances to require more than one stoned braincell to complete. I know I am not alone when I say, "Why even put Aglaia in the roulette pool?"
