Fresh start servers for 2.0

No but i would start a new char just to see how the game is as a noob.

The more gil these people have, the prices for all these items will remain the same. While people are leveling up and new to the server, they have to grind that much more leves just to get good gear unless they can find a nice person to help them (or linkshell).

I started a new character for kicks not very long ago and I have had NO problems whatsoever with cash. (My character was on a different server so I couldn't use the resources I'd gained with my main.)

There's absolutely no need for a gil-wipe, money is so easy to make that in 6 months you'll STILL have people with ridiculous amounts of honestly earned gil.
By level 10 I'd already amassed nearly 80k (Doesn't seem like a lot to a 50, but to a 10 it's like /holylotterywin). Not to mention having absolutely nothing to spend it on because sidequests which take mere minutes, leves and such reward gear, weapons and even food. Not to mention the nice gil reward from storyline quests that gets you set up sharpishly.

People having ridiculous amounts of gil doesn't really affect prices, it's supply and demand.
If you have what people want, you can sell it for whatever and people will buy it, but as demand wanes, so does competition to sell said item and price drops. Wiping gil will do nothing. . . I don't know why some are so obsessed with data wipes, it sounds pretty entitled. D: "Hey you're ahead of me! I want your data reset to zero so I don't have to feel like I can't play catch up"

You can litteraly earn millions a day simply by one-shotting low lvl mobs so only reason you would want gil wipe is simply because your lazy ass :D

The primary purpose of opening new servers is to accomodate an influx of new players. Getting a fresh start if you want one is a perk of such an event, but it's not the primary purpose of it.

I've been playing 14 since October 2, 2010. That's a lot of time playing just for SE to take my hard earn Gil. For one year the game was free to play, so I think it is a ridiculous idea to take my Gil and many like me. We stuck it out when the game was not the game it is now. So why punish the dedicated for the undedicated? Don't make since to me.

Then I say Find a good linkshell. My shell has a lot of helpful members, that help new players get the gear they need. If u are a jerk then it will be harder for you. Ijs
