How to defeat anybody with an opposite opinion to yours:
Twist anything positive they say into a Strawman.
Get offended they dont agree with you
Get Defensive: say you are entitled to your Opinion as if it was ever taken from you
Get Bossy, tell them they aren't allowed an opinion unless it agrees with yours and the Mob Consensus.
Call them White Knights, Cult Members, and Shills. Afterall, those are the ONLY people that would disagree with you and say anything positive.
Nuance doesn't exist, either they are With you, or Against you
When all else fails, Personal attacks will always turn the tide and conversation.



But no seriously, did people actually attack others for not liking Music in the game? And use Soken's Cancer and YoshiPs Tears as a Defense?

But that is sort of a weird MMO-nihilism, "nothing matters so don't do anything". If they provided some endless direct character enhancement grind then all the OCD players (like 95% of the population of all MMOs) will feel obligated to grind it no matter the minuscule nature of the rewards which is completely against their design philosophy. There is NEVER going to be an endless power grind in this game, if that is what keeps a person playing then it is 100% legitimate to say "you are playing the wrong MMO".

Additionally every one of these complaint posts asks for something different, one posts asks for the FF14 equivalent of Mythic dungeons from WoW, the next wants 8,000 hours of voice acted cutscenes every patch and half of them can't even clearly state what they want, just a nebulous sort of insult towards the devs. Even the guys who want something like Mythic Dungeons if you ask most of them they haven't finished PoD or HoH, Bozja/Eureka, Savage or any number of actual gameplay related systems but then turn around and rage that their complaint is still valid; some dude complaining a day or two ago hadn't even finished the MSQ and was complaining about lack of quests, the day before that some dude wanted more end game raiding and the last time he did Savage was in early ShB. I mean like what? The thing they want is in the game but they refuse to do it, there is nothing Yoshi-P can do to solve that.

If people want to post these sorts of complaints, fine go for it, but they need to come with detailed explanations and outlines of exactly what THEY find fun and what they want. When you ask for specifics they can't provide them and then the raging starts. Anyone who just says "other MMOs blah blah blah insult" clearly hasn't played any other MMO before.

If most the player base unsubscribed the game for long period of time from no content It would shut down from lack of funds. So you would think every month they add more content to keep those funds coming. Not loose them which funds new content and keeps the game running.

I used to be hardcore obsessed with collecting achievements. If my interest hadn't already waned by 5.0 then the firmament stuff would have broke me lol. The pterodactyl mount has the most absurd grind on it. Either you need a specific mental health issue to focus on reaching 500k points in every class, or getting there will create one in a previously well-functioning mind. You have to craft the same items over and over, day after day. It's like an unpaid factory job.

I ain't making 10 ARR relics, 13 HW, 15 SB, 17 SHB and soon 19 EW ones, i'm fine with 1 each expansion, making one as is, is already quite the slog and boring, in fact, to tell the truth, I haven't done the eureka one, and probably never will, it's garbage content that shouldn't have existed in the first place.

quantity and quality can go hand in hand, problem is, most of the time, it doesn't.

I've done virtually everything except the ultimates at this point and I lack the resolve/will to seek out a cozy group to tough those out with, so I've resigned myself to menial achievement grinding for the time being.

Here. I'll humor down this list for you.
Outside of the brand new one's from EW, yes. And in the case of ShB, I did them all as current rather than waiting to unsync them.
Ignoring Ultimate is literally designed for 1% of playerbase, no. But that's because I never finished savage itself, so I don't qualify.
I have every job at 90. And as for craft/gathers, I have them all 90 twice.
Mahjong is long and boring, Verminion feels like a zerg slog, and Chocobo Racing takes too long to get a decent birb.
I do not have every single relic, but I have completed the questline for at least 1 in every expac so far, meaning I have done the content, just not repeated them 15 times each.

I end up not enjoying the savage content by the end of the day due to frustrations, so no I haven't.
I originally joined with the idea of RP, so yes.
Maxed out both ShB and EW shared fate, both cases within the first month.
No I haven't solo'd Palace or Heaven, but this is because I got sick of them leveling my stuff.
I don't need 10/10/10 in valor stacks to say I played Bozja's content to its entirety. So no, but I have completed all but DRS for it.
I have attempted the Duels, if you wanna count that.
Outside of literally 1 fishing quest, I have done every side quest in the game, including Endwalker.

So, what's the tally from someone who also, nicely, has the TT mount that requires cards from all forms of content in the game?

... I haven't done Ultimate, I don't do old raids, and I didn't solo HoH.

That's quite a small list of things that can be argued I didn't complete. So, ya, where's my content? Because I seem to have consumed everything that interested me, which does look to be about 99% of the content because we're missing like a few raids and ultimate.

honest question here, what kind of replayable content do people think square could offer ? because so far we have a ton of people that both say the game lacks replayability while also saying that long grinds just for a few achievement points or whatever are boring to them, so what should they offer ?.

obviously its not "whatever takes a long ass time to grind" cause that is boring, just look at the very first few answers to this thread.´
is it timegating the existing kind of content ? make it so you can only do 1-2 hours of x per day to stretch out the game? cause that wouldn't add replayability, just force people to change their gaming habits.

i'm sorry if i'm lacking imagination here, but the literally only thing i can come up with is a time gated gear threadmill, and that one quite literally is a very big part of what ruined WoW.
