If you ban them often enough to make their operation not profitable they won't be coming back.

I've come to the conclusion that once a bot gets past level 60 then SE no longer does anything about them. I've given up on reporting the level 90 gathering bot. I was reporting the exact same bots since early Stormblood and they are still gathering at the time I post this.
Mass botting happens. SE notices.
SE's only real measure against it... add story/level skips to the mogstation...
Oh! Crisis averted. Now for every Eureka bot SE gets over 70 USD! Yay!
The actual players? *looks at active sub numbers* Eh. They will get over it.
You can't infinitely increase Gil prices because people have a certain threshold that they are willing to pay. At some point, it won't be profitable enough for the bots to continue Gil farming. First off, a bot has to break even and level up an account in order to farm Gil. Eureka bots have to be over level 70, level up their elemental level and on top of that, they have to farm around 100 million Gil to break even. That should take at least a week or two to do all of that.
If bots don't last that long they CAN'T be profitable.
So if the general consensus is that banning bots or those accounts are pointless are we good to use them?
every single person saying they would deserve to get banned for reporting bots because it's against the rules are the same twerps that reminded the teacher about homework before class ended
