Lost Ark has three CMs constantly replying to forum threads and address concerns

Yeah, the Twitter is even more useless than the forums for all intents and purposes.

Why is it always the exact same people coming into these threads prostrating themselves on the ground and throwing knives and pitchforks at even the most valid of criticisms?

It's been known for years how abysmal the moderation for this forum is, and how nonexistent the community engagement anywhere outside of the Twitter account (and no, I don't say this as one of those 'twitter bad and evil' types - I use it frequently and enjoy it! But the activity on the Twitter account is probably the most active I ever see anything official regarding this game to be). Both JP and NA alike feel proverbially thrown to the wolves, though I think even JP sees more engagement and moderation than we do over here.

Why do you same people feel the need to bootlick and defend literally everything about SQE, no matter how poor the practice? Why do you people need to bash on another game, turtle up in your defensive tribal shell, and ignore actual valid criticisms and points raised by people who want to see things improve or change as they legitimately need to? Seriously, no one can look me in the eye and say this forum is properly moderated; troll threads remain on the front pages for weeks on end, people can insult and abuse others with no punishment while people expressing valid criticisms or questioning the character of an abusive poster get hit with vacations and bans for 'negativity', a thousand threads on the same topic flood the forum like an uncontained wildfire.

And amidst it all, we don't even get so much as a "we've heard you and have passed it on to the devs/been told this and that". The only communication we ever get is if a thread is literally on fire and constantly at the top for weeks on end (if we're lucky), or if a thread gets an appropriate number of likes on the first post (if we're lucky). Which, due to the aforementioned thousand threads, tends to not happen often because no one here knows how to consolidate - nor are they forcefully consolidated as every other game forum I know has done in the past.

If you defend the horrid state of this forum, you are part of the problem.

Not upset, just floored that the exact same people - which, oh look, you're here as always! - keep responding to valid criticisms of actual known problems with stupid defenses, without fail, every single time. You people need to go outside; SQE isn't your friend, CBU3 isn't your friend, Yoshi-P isn't your friend. They're also all grown men and women, and can defend themselves without a bunch of rando simps on the forum doing it for them, I would hope. This is a product people pay for and are allowed to express dissatisfaction with, in all avenues, including complete lack of moderation and engagement on a forum you need an active sub to participate in.

BOTH JP and NA/EU feel neglected by Square Enix. Funnily enough a common complaint on JP is that the developers only listen to Westerners.

The real truth is that they are not actively listening to either. That doesn't mean they aren't listening. It means that even when they are listening, they make no effort to indicate that the concerns are heard and the issues are planned to be addressed.

These were all from JUST the last three days.

We get less than one-tenth the engagement of that from Square Enix in a month.

Please do better.

And FYI, before someone gets mad and tell me to go stick to Lost Ark, I've literally made a complaint about Lost Ark about something that they should learn from FF14.

Some companies just do things better then others. A lot better. In this case Lost Ark does it better.

Because this games CMs are a joke.

The Game is New-ish.
So of course at the start they are gonna care and address their forums until they maintain an audience year round.

Can anyone truly fault the CMs for abandoning the dumpster fire that is the NA forums?

I am always baffled by how absent the CMs are. What do they even do? Delete a few posts a day? No way they compile feedback and give it to the developers. Not only that, but they also have a whack set of rules to moderate here on the forums.

People exaggerate over the in-game moderation minefield, but for the forums it's absolutely true. I have been banned twice - once for calling someone who was openly admitting he stalks and harasses women in the game a "creep" (horrific I know. how could I dare hurt his feelings), and the other for Ottergate.
Yes, I know there is rules against "insults" (again, the tragedy I'm sure the stalker was so sad) and derailing a thread, but just the other day someone posted graphic porn and all they got was their post deleted. Every day each thread devolves into personal attacks and derails completely. Hello?

The game lead dev, meaning Yoshi P himself make a live letter regularly and make response as fast as possible for every problem he think need to be addressed, I rather have that, not just some CM that pretend to know what to do and dont actually have any power or authority to do anything about it, tell me how many lead dev or even any executive of big company actually try to do that, the answer is not very much, and I rather have the dev actually take some time to discuss and to actually try to solve the problem rather than promising stuff and didnt actually do anything about it, this is simply preferences of customer demand of attention and different type of leadership which differ for every person
