Thank you SE for addressing Samurai's burst window issues.

The solution to this problem should not, under any circumstance, be to create anti-synergies. Framing this as an overall rDPS issue is pointless. The bar is already so low, especially now with gear, to meet the minimum check to clear the tier. The variance of SAM up until now was not going to be the deciding factor in killing a boss. While it is commendable that they want to address that variance, and don't get me wrong it did need to be looked at, they've taken a pretty narrow-minded approach to it and created synergistic issues. Yes, they hit the mark really close for SAM's personal damage with these changes, but since you know those numbers you must also be aware that these changes amount to a DPS loss in crit buff groups compared to now. So if your angle is going to be that SAM somehow "makes up" for the loss in damage, it unfortunately does not. And now it creates an environment where other jobs are going to have their rDPS contributions suffer for it.

and raid buffed DPS went down by 3%, u forgot to mention that as that is actually the DPS that matters

how exactly is SAM burst fixed anyway? ur burst is doing way, WAY less than pre patch? all this does is negatively affect buffers, as well as anyone who enjoyed pre patch SAM

SAM will feel lousy to play w/o kaiten, and even lousier with a wet noodle burst window

dont be silly, higanbana did not get buffed, kaiten got baked into it since that ability (thankfully) didnt get the auto crit treatment and kaiten is gone now

i cant believe u r okay with this, all they did was shuffle numbers around in order to create a more boring job, not one part of which anyone asked for!

A boring class whose 2 min cooldowns CONTRADICTS with 2 min cooldowns of 4 other jobs while SE heavy pushes 2 min cooldown meta in endwalker....

It's not about the numbers. It's about the job's identity. The number shuffling is not what bothers people. It's the actual gutting of the class that bothers people. Don't generalize the issue of the SAM changes for damage to trivialize the actual problem of identity loss that people have with this change.

Kenki is the new Faerie Gauge and I hate it.
I don't care about the dps. I only care about numbers as much as they encourage or influence how I play.
And Kaiten's removal influences how I will play, by putting Kenki off screen lol.
