You can also customise both, I have party excluded from left-right so I can use that to just target enemies.

Its fine, thing about the non target dashes is that you still need to face the direction you want to go, roughly the same effort as targeting something.

Nah, it's perfectly fine as is (and I also play on controller). Though I wouldn't mind a second charge.
