How is this fair for DRK?

I dont see how blood whetting will survive in its current form. I expect come Tuesday we will see a big nerf to it just so they dont have to adjust other tanks.

Potency changes sure, changes to abilities that require testing over a holiday period. Laughable and not likely.

We are looking at 6.1 at the earliest for any meaningful change

Why “down the road” should we expect a rework? If it’s bad let’s fix it now because if history is our guide the next expansion is going to have issues as well. SE will be focused on every other job for the next expansion just like this last one and DRK was swept under the rug… let’s not advocate for a repeat.

I've watched Xenos video of Dark Knight, and he is pretty much right. The job needs a re-work and sucks to play, and no not "buffs" learn the meaning. I've never denied the job needs re-work, I've been denying grant the job more buffs when it is best on DPS currently. Dark Knight needs support what others obtained, than a copy paste of animations. At the same time as I keep saying, you have to be careful what changes you make, you can easily make the job too powerful adding extra buffs, or extra potency, many game genres examples have proven this enough.

Needs re-work, not more buffs to make it ultimately a lot more powerful in all content, it sucks in Dungeons, it's fine in content that isn't dungeons. It isn't fun to play, it's a 50 Cal LMG, then it becomes reload time which is a chore.

TBN: Obtained Cure Potency 400-500 if the barrier is broken (Buff)
TBN: Cost no MP, cooldown increased to 25-30s, buff timer extended 12s. (Re-work)

Reactive O-GCDs will never return, Blood Price will never return, anything requiring you to take damage for more DPS will never return, it favours tanks over others completely.

On top of that, they made a dps clone of DRK and if you gave it fending gear and toned down potencies, would be a better DRK. They added insult to injury with the rework they got.

Delirium got nerfed
Enhanced unmend (please fire the guy who made this)
Oblation is so meh
Blood weapon is hilariously underwhelming and didn't get the 5 stack system
Shadowbringer (super shoehorned in because they forgot to do last expansion)
abyssal drain got nerfed and tied to Carve and Spit in CD
TBN is still the same
2 upgrades to living shadow that only brings it to where is was in ShB
No self sustain and pairs horribly with Scholar and Sage because so.

I have to put all my trust in the healers to do their jobs and at the same time I'm punishing them just by playing DRK. The person who worked on DRK is so damn lazy as all hell and needs to be replaced. I do not like where DRK is going and neither should anyone have to wait for 7.0 for them to basically do the same thing. DRK is permanently benched for me till ACTUAL work is done on it.

Only thing they've done over 6 years is gut and taken away everything from DRK to give to other tanks. Or remove entirely like Parry. I do not think they care about Dark Knight and they think it's perfect as a raid tank. It's quite a red flag when they claim they haven't heard any criticisms about Dark Knight on their forums when you have a 150+ page topic of DRKs circlejerking on how scuffed their job class is.

Unlike Warrior we aren't high on the priority list. I bet you if the roles were reversed and DRK had baller sustain and Warrior didn't, that shit would have been patched out the first week.

Exactly what I thought when I tried Grim Reaper, and I couldn't understand how they kept DRK so damn boring and kept re-skinning animations.

Shadowbringer should have basically been Grim Swathe imo (animation wise, minus the avatar obviously...or not so obviously..hmm). Something new and engaging/interesting.

I almost feel like they actually had a ton of ideas and creativity for DRK..too much so infact, so they just decided sod it, let's just make this a DPS and sell it. xD

At least I hope that is the case, the alternative is the developers have the imagination and creativity of a wooden spoon where DRK is concerned, and it's not going to improve.

Living Shadow wasn't even a new attack, it's literally just a cycle through of some of your old attacks. That was last expansions pinnacle addition. And this expansions pinnacle addition is shadowbringers, which is just another flood.

I realise I am whinning and splitting hairs about mostly cosmetics, but DRK had the potential to be a interesting class with a ton of lore and unique characteristics to work with and base it's tool kit off, its just a shame they didn't do it.

You won’t get a fight from me on anything you’ve said. I just take issue with waiting another two years for things to be fixed. Small patch after patch adjustments were the mantra in sb so I don’t want that either. Devs need to dig down and make this happen ASAP.

Xenos has absolutely hated Dark Knights since the Shadowbringers media tour because Dark Knights bumped Warriors out of raids, I dont take his opinion on Dark Knights seriously.

Just hope that if Dark Knight gets buffed and Warrior gets nerfed he doesnt get himself suspended from the game again.

Xenos kind of want Dark Knight to be Warrior. He's right that DRK needs work, but his solution is not the right one
