RDM should get a slight nerf

Doble cast heal is still 2 gcds, the best you can say is that the second heal is frontloaded right after the first, but the times that is useful are situational at best on group content, moreso when now any tank besides DRK can keep themselves alive quite easily with self healing and mitigations while the healer is revived

Red mage will not be nerfed on Tuesday and it should not be nerfed.
The other jobs are the ones in need of buffs.
Period.

i dont think rdm will be nerf, the class is in really good condition now, if anything it was smn that need to tweak or buff a bit more

Simpler question: Would you rather have a Phoenix heal (700 potency total, at a 100-potency tickle per tick) of forced rotational timing or 10s 10% raidwide mitigation with a minor healing bonus effect?

That seems quite reasonable. Balancing towards the jobs whose rDPS is already ahead of RDM, accounting for non-rDPS utility, seems like it could lead to power creep. Where BLM and RDM are already at is likely a better target.

Personally, I'm not a fan of nerfing things that are well-designed just because something else underperforms in comparison. If that's the case, focus on Summoner not Red Mage.

SMN brings slightly more utility and is significantly easier to play at this point in time. In fact, it is hands down the easiest DPS to play in the entire game - even more so than RPR. If we're talking about using job complexity as a criteria for determining DPS potential, then SMN should definitely be down there with the healers. Nerfing RDM really serves no purpose other than to inconvenience part of the player-base because another part of it is mad about their job being completely reworked to be sprout friendly.

Mobility which will offer virtually zero advantages. Look at the Eden series. How many mechanics were Casters unable to handle without losing uptime? None. The dev team simply doesn't design fights around mobility because they don't want one DPS role to feel unfairly targeted. Hence why the Range taxes has been thought pointless. Their free mobility amounts to absolutely nothing but a damage penalty for reasons. At least you're forced to bring one for the party bonus. SMN doesn't have that luxury and will be completely forgotten come Savage without a sizable buff.

You can look at the old BLM that was literally a magic turret or their dps plummeted. Heck even today if you wanna do real good numbers with BLM you need to custom your entire group around BLM, so yes mobility is important. That there are static fights in game doesnt mean they arent lately leaning more on more hectic ones. Ex2 in EW is a pain in the rear to a "static" job and is far from the worst fight
