I don’t see that as a reliable piece of information.
The Dramaturge said he’s never laid his eyes on a male Viera but can’t see an indication that their genders can be confused. You could argue it’s suggested but it’s not confirmed at all, it’s just pure speculation so it can just be disregarded.
Okay then, the lore suggests that people may be under the false impression that all Viera are female, which could be driven by the already-rare men being feminine enough that they are mistaken for women because people expect them to be women.
Either way, we have the characters to look at. The men are feminine. They are also distinctly men if you need to know. That doesn't mean they need to be unambiguous to a random person in the street.
Honestly, more options in the different poses would be great. Especially some of the ones from mounts with how you're sitting (Behemoth and the Circus Ahriman come to mind mostly) would be great to use on chairs in the home. Most of the current poses for sitting just look awkward when used...at least for female Au Ra.
I think this is a fine idea, and it's one that PSO2 already does. Both types of emotes are available to all players and you can even set it to prioritize one type over the other regardless of chosen character sex. For instance if you create a male character but set female actions as the priority, all of your run jump and emotes will be the female version, or "type 2" as it calls it, unless otherwise specified.
Why do you have to bring your real word politics into a fictional fantasy setting. Most people play games to get away from this kind of stuff.
It also doesn't make sense from a lore perspective to have cross gendered people in the game. I don't think I've come across someone who identifies as the opposing sex.
And you know, you could have avoided a comment like this if you had just left out the whole "gender identity" thing and just asked for a side quest that would allow you to unlock all of the emotes available to your race and allow them to be added to the cycle through.
It's really that simple. But instead you wanted to bring your real world politics and sensibilities into a fictional past time. Trying to push your own personal agenda onto other people's past time. It's sad really.
Ps. Your signature doesn't become you. The irony is palpable.
i agree and support weapon cposes, but unsure about every emote. i suppose the option wouldn’t effect me personally though, so should they ever add it, no skin off my back.
