Is Leveling Roulette (and other Roulettes) giving subpar EXP as opposed to before?

Agreed. I'm currently farming tomes with roulettes, while leveling alt jobs with fates (for rank) and dungeons.
Will probably do Bozja after I'm done with fates.

I think I got about 2m exp at level 81 on Sage from lveling roulette, which was like 1/3 of the exp needed for 82.
I get the same running the 81 dun. Just do roulettes for tomes at 90, don't waste them leveling post 81.

personally im not gonna take a 30 minute penalty because i got a 20 minute duty instead of a 40 minute one
but will say EXP needs to be looked at for roulettes and dungeons
especially 50/60/70/80 that has always given terrible exp even before EW

Really? I Can't tell the difference, the leveling speed seems to be the same. It always feels slow if it's an expansion level cap heading to the next expansion level (ex: lv 50 -> 51, lv 60 -> 61, lv 70 -> 71, lv 80 -> 81). No MSQ to help push through those levels generally make leveling slow since you only have older content to do, and older content doesn't necessarily give more exp at expansion cap than leveling dungeons tailored to that level.

Also, check the number of bonuses stacking. Are you leveling your highest character? Don't forget, no armoury EXP bonus, and the final lv 80 to 90 levels themselves usually become more difficult due to being the last level cap available. Mobs no longer grant EXP, only dungeon bosses, so popping food right before a dungeon boss will ensure you get the most EXP for it. Also check if your FC is giving EXP combat buffs too. Those couple of things impact leveling speed heavily.

Though ngl, lv 50/60/70/80 EXP feels terrible.

So today I got Praet at lvl 83. The run gave me about 67% of a level, almost double what a Castrum run gives.

Yup, I'll continue eating the penalty if I get Castrum.

Roulettes as a whole seem to give noticeably less EXP than simply spamming Bozja. Especially for DPS queues. They really need to look at the balance here because at this rate, less and less people are going to bother with them.

there are a LOT of people who dont want to do bozja. doesnt matter if its more effectiv than roulette. lazy people rather sign up for roulettes than do something outside their comfortzone

there willbe enough people in roulette, even if it actually got worse
