There is no WoW without EQ in which they copied it entirely...as is the case with most of thier games.

FF was established before Warcraft. The years between or how long doesn't matter.

Didn't know that FF 1 was an mmo, same goes for FF 2 or 3.
It amaze me how it's so hard for you to accept that WoW influenced this game from the start when even the devs talked openly about it.

Didn't know that the original Warcraft was an MMO in 94. Could have sworn it was a RTS...then became and MMO years later.

Kinda like Final Fantasy...which the original was in 87.

We're talking about FF XIV and WoW here, which were release in 2004 and ... 2010-2013.
What universe comes first is totally irrelevant to begin with, it's not even an argument to begin with.
I dont even know why you guys try to act like "yeah FF its 87 so FF XIV doesn't have a WoW heritage" like ... the heck ?

No, you're talking about that now since the dates back up what the previous poster said that you jumped on for some reason.

If we are now moving goalposts, then you are still incorrect. Final Fantasy 11...an MMO was released in 2002.

And FFXI had almost nothing to do with FF XIV, if you ever played this one you would know that.
You guys are the one talking about the universe, you started it to have like dunno an argument ?
The devs talked countless time about how WoW influenced them for this game, that's it that's not debatable the only thing that is debatable here is why it hurts you so much that WoW influenced this game to come up with stupid things like that.
Not that FF XI was a huge hit either to begin with and they did know that.
