I really hope that the developers when listening to ways and discussing ideas on how to make healer jobs more fun are also being cognizant of how to also improve the past four (counting A Realm Reborn) expansions of content; Endwalker isn't the only content that will still be played, especially with things like roulettes, Party Finder, and leveling secondary jobs. There are often talks about how to improve the healing requirements for future requirements, but that alone leaves out the legacy 80% of Final Fantasy XIV's overall content.

An AoE DoT. If we can manage 1 Nuke and 1 DoT on a Single Target, then why would it be so hard to think that we can't manage an AoE Nuke and an AoE DoT in a similar fashion?
Some mild utility like we used to have. Virus, Disable, Eye for an Eye, Protect, etc. Have all been slowly ripped away from healers over the years with very little given back for it. I mean, the single target buffs they're giving healers is a step in the right direction but I wish there was more for healers to do and that it was more unique to the job.
Give SCH something to do with their Job Gauge. FFS, we're regressing in this regard since Fey Blessing now doesn't even cost gauge anymore so now it's just Aetherpact to use again. It's the single more useless gauge in the game and it's made worse by the fact that it breaks if you do pretty much anything with the fairy or if the target leaves its range.
Don't nerf Thin Air. Being able to recover from disastrous situations is WHM's only real niche in savage content and without that, WHM is essentially useless there. It's not just a rez tool but WHMs entire answer for when crap hits the fan. It doesn't need to be changed. -

It's frustrating to see how this impacts healer design over and over again, when in all other areas the dev team have a philosophy that it's important to play the game they make and even play other games for inspiration. Yoshida even discussed how other games can feel like the developers don't even play their own game and how they strive to avoid that. ...Except healers for some reason. I don't get it.Quote:
