I personally would have preferred a damage buff as opposed to a speed buff for scholar. While I'll still level the class, I would like to have more damage abilities, preferably fairy themed as opposed to "tactician" themed. The aesthetic of Energy Drain and Biolysis just do not appeal to me. Art of War 2 also still seems really bland in comparison to Holy and Gravity 2.

Movement speed as an ability doesn't serve much purpose, because you can never make it mandatory or hard to live without, because that locks healer comps to SCH + AST/WHM. They'd never do that. If it has a damage mitigation, that will be it's main purpose. But that doesn't fix the clunky pet AI, make the pet worth having, expand the toolkit in a meaningful way or add any exciting QoL that makes SCH enjoyable to play. -

If people stand in optimal positions, when they can run faster, you can get out of AoE. If you are still late, the mitigation will shield you. So yeah, sound ideal for raid progression team.
I can also see it being used for tank pulling wall-to-wall in dungeon. Faster group's movement speed = hitting the last group earlier, and the mitigation will also reduce tank's damage intake during pull.
Also, if you don't have a ranged class for Peloton and Sprint is on cooldown, a group speed boost to speed up is nice to have. -
