Asmongold on NSFW mods

Gridania and the Wolves Den are generally okay. That's where I usually am, when on Balmung. A lot of Balmung is actually great from what I know. It's just certain people, and they are usually in certain places.

I've actually had this happen from the same person in my Raid Roulette and everytime I told him to stop he basically was all like '' you know that you want me uwu :3 '' just constantly.
He was basically roleplaying as some lewd catboy playboy and being really creepy and forceful about it, it wasn't cute or funny it felt really predatory.

Obviously it's not that serious in a video game, but it's extremely frustrating and creepy to deal with.
Not to mention incredibly cringe.
However the reason why that should be a ban is not because it's ERP or sexual, it's because it's harassment.

Just generally speaking policing what adults do because kids exist is toxic as all hell and I hate it.
And the game is not kid friendly to begin with.

The problem there isn't ERP the problem is sexual predators like how I mentioned above the problem isn't ERP either it's harassment.
Someone can be a sexual predator and harasser to an adult too.
I think that people have a tendency to try and shift the problem to be about something else instead of actually dealing with the actual problem.

Just generally speaking tho adults shouldn't be ERP:ing with kids.
If teenagers ERP with other teenagers then in all honesty I don't think that's a problem, people need to stop pretending like teenagers are asexual.
But I think it's reasonable to separate that from actual adults.



I mean that's a pretty broad thing to say.
Like if you're going to sit here and moralize about modders making mods for adult characters for fun then quite frankly I think you just need to mind your own business.
But if we're talking about underage characters and such then obviously it's different.

I just think that people need to stop throwing it all into the same basket.
It's not the same and people need to stop just generalizing and oversimplifying.

It is broad cause it's broadly disgusting. This goes beyond role-playing at that point. If it is things such as what this specific modder does, it has no place in a video game that isn't specifically catering to that audience for that purpose. Again, that ish is beyond weird.

So players being sexual is weird? Why? I'm just curious the game even has it in some parts. Yet, because adventures do it. It is like OMG WEIRD.

This is really not a big deal.

lets assume they do something about the nsfw mods... and what then? people are still gonna do erp. they wont see characters as naked anymore but that wont change anything for YOU. they enjoy it? let them enjoy.

and all that talk about minors? we have to protect them from what? a bunch of weird grown ups using nud mods other people cant even see? from erp? where do you live? many kids nowadays can much easier find stuff way worse in the internet than playing erp for a few juicy lines.

and after 5 years of playing i NEVER encountered a minor or ERP in any form in the game. im sure both of them exist but at least on the light dc it seems to be much rarer and hidden than many people say it is. people like to talk about that stuff but most of them also just heard of it.

Something being hinted at in a quest does not equal it being acceptable for players to partake of it themselves, though.

There's plenty of quests with swearing involved and yet people can and do earn a ban for saying naughty words in public chat channels.

My main server is Bylindher (I know I'm spelling it wrong)
I actually feel somewhat uncomfortable if it's like this on the server. I'm just making alts in order to do something that connects with what I'm trying to do on my main. So If it's just those two, then I'll be careful or steer clear.
The only thing for me on Bylindher that I have to worry about is a group of lalafells shouting about their food and sometimes spams the chat

I'm younger than most players, and have never come across this sorta thing. I gotta wonder how many people go looking for it just to be offended by it?
I have had someone in my old FC accidentally put their RP into FC chat, it took me a few minutes to work out the actions involved. But to me it was more funny than anything. Caused a ton of drama though, and the FC imploded because MTs happen.
My only actual hatred of anything in this game, is the attitude people have toward younger people. Like we have never been on the internet before, watched a movie, or talked to actual real people before. Finding friends, a FC, steady groups, is close on impossible. And so many people actually believe you have to be 18 to be on this game.

Now excuse me while I breathe into this paper bag.

Long story short... this is nowhere near new. 1 new streamer isn't going to change anything in regards to this because much like other 3rd party tools proof of usage needs to be proven. In the case of file swaps that only impact the local client and nothing server side it's extremely difficult to detect and TBH I rather them put that effort into removing more bots and RMTs.

No the world has this sort of things. So RPers are well within the right to do this sort of thing in private. The game has a lore that has sexual themes. So why is it from a rp stand point it is not acceptable to some of you when the story itself has it in the lore.



Like I said this is gatekeeping RP is it not?
