Not saying I agree but I figured they might say something like cursing snd harassing are against the ToS being bad is not. Short from AFKing they could use sorry did not know not very good to defend their lack of trying.

It can be a problem actually. We had a person afk in the second Nier raid on the second boss during the fight, and guess who got the line stack AOE, aimed it at the other group and killed a whole bunch of people in the alliance? ^^"
A lot of people are somehow okay with this kind of behaviour, because a lot of the time people will actually say no to the votekick, even when you say this person has been afk for the last 2 fights.
They sometimes even port in as well after the 15 seconds message, to indeed not get kicked for not being active, but will get mechanics that way.
Is this one of those troll threads I keep hearing about?
Just a friendly reminder that if someone is intentionally afk and/or uses mobs/loot to avoid being kicked that it is a reportable offense. Just make sure you file the report before you leave the duty.
And to those that will challenge that: it is a very clear violation of section 3.2 of the user agreement. You're playing party content and effectively forcing the remaining players to play without the person(s) partaking in this deplorable act. Doesn't matter if they can clear without the person(s) or not. The fact that you're refusing to ether perform the duty or leave is also barring other players from completing the content for whatever reason.
tl;dr - do at your own risk. people can and should report all violators before exiting the duty server for GMs to dish out appropriate punishment.
I mean, if it was truly that terrible of an experience, you could have just left the duty.
Of course, if someone truly is leeching intentionally then that sucks but if you've tried other means and nothing has worked you can always drop yourself. Sure you'll get the leave penalty but if it's really that trying of an experience for you then maybe that's better for your mental health anyway.
In addition to kicking for loot, someone could initiate a kick on a key role in the middle of a fight and there's no guarantee people won't just auto-click the window, assuming someone in the group somewhere is doing something bad.
I can see the desire in 8 mans but there's too much potential for abuse.
In things like MSQ or 24 mans, it's the impatience of the alliance that prevents the kick. I've seen folks ask in party or alliance chat to have a second to kick someone, but nope, gotta go brrrrrrrr every single second
The example that keeps being given, of they player being afk through a whole dungeon, or raid other than to move just enough to avoid being auto-kicked.... Does this really happen a lot??? I have been playing since 2.0, and I am not sure if I have ever seen this... maybe once, or twice????
It's kind of hilarious when a person gets kicked in the middle of combat.
The scenarios that can happen is if the vote dismiss was initiated before the pull, and the votes come in after in-favor.
The second, GM pulls the person out of combat into gaol. Happened live on twitch a few years ago with a good streamer.
