Save the Queen is better than Eureka

The actual grind in Bozja was a lot more comfortable and the lost actions were a straight improvement over the logos system, but pretty much everything else was worse to me, story included.

It's really hard to view a conflict as morally grey when the opposing leader recruited an entourage of villain cliches who were actively committing war crimes for the sake of their cause. Mikoto's visions also just felt like a pointless plot device that mostly existed to forcefully inject more suspense into events then they deserved and the story could've easily functioned without them.

Eureka's story wasn't exactly amazing, either, but it did at least keep a lingering air of mystery that made me curious to see what happened next.

I honestly enjoyed the initial part of the Bozja story involving Cid more then anything else as it clarified some things that had been unknown up until then, but everything after was basically the Resistance getting played like a fiddle but still managing to come out on top in the end regardless largely thanks to us just being...us, and then the story ends with a whimper and several major events being resolved off-screen.

I'm not a fan of either Eureka or Bozjan. I was happy to see relics being able to be advanced without doing Bozjan... until I hit the point where you can't. So I guess its another expansion with no relic for me. I don't enjoy the Eureka/Bozjan format of content and am really disheartened that relic weapons, which used to be content ideally suited for my tastes, have been cut off as content for me for all intents and purposes. I hope that when they said relic weapons would be acquired differently in Endwalker, that they meant not tying them to content like Eureka/Bozjan anymore.

While I enjoyed the story of Eureka and the areas associated with it, I will say that Bozja on a technical scale and player friendly maps is way better.

Also the mettle ans lost actions made it so much better. The maps are easier to traverse and being able to use a mount form the jump makes things less frustrating starting out.

And Delebrum being on a duty finder of sorts makes it easier (though, Castrum and Dalrida need this treatment).

The maps in Eureka were cooler because you traveled to an unknown place with harsh environments and dangerous enemies (Pagos dragons well the whole map tbh). But Eureka maps were very unfriendly to travel in with Anemos and Hydratos being somewhat acceptable.

Idk it's probably nostalgia, but I liked the lore and each area being associated with a certain element along with your magia board.

I don't miss it that I want it back, but miss discovering Eureka as a whole.

Eureka is a lot more fun than Save the Queen. The quality of some relics, too.

Maybe not directly XI in every way, but it's inspired by the gaming trends of that era of gaming. Though they cherry-picked out elements they liked without some of the measures those games had to alleviate issues caused by those trends. Like EQ alleviated corpse runs by at least having a class that could summon your body. You don't have corpse runs in Eureka but you do still have the raise-or-lose-it mentality so you're highly dependent on the good will of other people to come rez you.

I'd prefer Eureka with the CEs from Bozja.
If it weren't for the CEs Bozja would be as lifeless as the overworld in general.

Did they say that? I must have missed that somewhere. What fresh hell do they have in store for us now?

I agree on your point and feel the same. I used to enjoy getting these weapons, even in ARR, because I could either hurry and rush to do them with each patch that came out or I could take my time and do them at my own pace. I could do content I already did and progress.

I'm not against the idea of an instanced zone with stuff to do in it. I just want the choice to partake or not to partake without losing out on other content I had before and was happy to do. They need to let those zones stand on their own two feet instead of trying to artificially prop them up by locking the relics to them. By doing this, they're not really getting the important feedback they would need for people who this content would be designed for so that they can make the content enjoyable and something people want to take part in.

So those who the content isn't designed for are resentful and unhappy they even have to associate with it. And those who the content is designed for don't get to give input that would improve their experience. It seems they don't want to make anyone happy.

I can appreciate Bozja being shorter but I think I liked Eureka more.

4 zones instead of 2. And more varied, interesting maps and environments. Pagos made some blunders but the other three I enjoyed a lot.

It's better but it's still boring IMO. It's just New and Improved Eureka--Now With Better Story and Do-able Raids! Meh.

They both suck and I dread what new crap they make in 6.0. like Seriously me doing it cuz there is almost nothing else to do in this game does not mean I like it. the devs having to bribe players with hordes of crap to make them play it does not make it good. fuck em both getting ready quit this game for good.


also might as well add all of the new relics look like shit. witch made give up on even completing the one i have...
