Why do Viera and Hrothgar Pay the Same for Less?

I mean, I'd prefer that they didn't have gender-locked stuff on the Mogstation, either; I could certainly buy, say, the Snow outfit from the Mogstation and be utterly unable to wear it because it's for men only. But going back and changing existing Mogstation items to gender-unlock every single one would be a hassle, so I'm not going to hold my breath for them doing it.

Which is, unfortunately, the same reason I don't expect them to go back and make special hat variants for the Hrothgar and Viera on existing outfits, even Mogstation ones. (And the newest outfits, being older content brought across from the run-by-other-people international versions of the game, do really sort of count as 'existing outfits'.)

There's definitely very little reason that gear consisting of entirely new models shouldn't be usable by Viera and Hrothgar where feasible going forward, though, and doubly so for Mogstation items; that, I assume, everyone can agree on.

all of hrothgars woes relate to their incredibly thick neck and the way they hunch over. any hair we already have will probably clip through the neck and the only way to put a hat on them is to drastically resize and reposition it.
another solution would be to do what wow did, giving them a unique headpiece that can be reskinned to match the gearset, but that only works in wow because most of their gear (robes especially) are the same mesh with new textures. it doesnt fit as well in ffxiv.

I never understood why they even made them hunch over. Weren't they based on Ronso? Most Ronso stand straight.

If people were that unhappy, there would be no Vieras in game.
There are PLENTY, so people have clearly accepted it.

Forum is a great place for feedback but money and usage is even a better feedback :)

There are also people like me who love our buns, but still want the race completed. In fact, you could say that if so few people use viera then why bother putting more effort into them?

probably so they have a different silhouette to male roegadyn.
fun fact, the galka (roegadyns xi daddy) were originally based on lion men. its like the two races were destined to get confused.

Im the type that likes to see my characters face, but Im not big on Hats. So being able to Put on Glasses so I can have the 'Mature", smart or sage type look was just BOOM, perfect!. (Specs are sexy-fight me)

I just love when people shill for multi million dollar corporations. Maybe finish a product before you sell it, SE. But these are the forums. If SE asked for a finger these people would say it's not so bad, we have like 9 more anyway. lol Sad times.

Exactly, if one of their walls for developing stuff for them is their hunched back, they have to remember that SE was the one who made the design choice for them. So, they literally backed themselves into a corner and opened themselves up for criticism from the playerbase about why they can't have things that the other races have

I just love being called a shill for a Corporation by being happy with getting what I want and not being mad like everyone else because they aren't happy.
Like my satisfaction doesn't matter unless everyone else decides its ok when THEY are happy. Sad times, can't enjoy things. I need to join the herd.

Yep. Because I my world when I pay for something I expect quality. I bought it with money [I] earned in a job where [I] also had to bring quality to the table to get paid.

All you do with your apologetic attitude is selling yourself short, while others laugh in your face over your own inability to self-reflect, I'm sorry to say.

I really don't get how people can defend SE for releasing more glamour items but then excluding the 2 limited races from it.

If they can't even add hats for the new items, then the chances of them being able to go back and add hats and headgear for all the old pieces is basically 0
