and your character wakes up in Ul'dah in the Path of the Twelve location with your chosen NPC and the Path of the Twelve lead explaining how so much has changed.

You passed out because of the effects of the Echo before, what if the meteor backlash causes a huge one.

All i know is Hollowed out Crystallized Dalmud would be an awesome end game area lol.

I kinda want Dalamud proper to stay in space, and to explore it there a la FFIV.

Perhaps the 7th Umbral Era will be the 12 intervening and saving the world from Meteor, but in the process the world is remade. (as it was in the 6th with the flooding)

One of the poems mentions something seeping up from below, perhaps meteor is destroyed as it is in FFVII

All it does is pull tides in and out, along the surface of the earth, it could never pull things off the surface of the earth.

Its obvious Dalamud is smaller than the planet, with the detail we can see it in it must be close (atleast as close as earth's moon is) also if it was the gravitational pull in the pdfs we got the little hut next to the crystal would be affected as well, which leaves me to believe Dalamud affects only aether.

We also don't know much about what aether is exactly and we know even less about Dalamud, therefore it is entirely possible that if aether comes into contact with Dalamud it will cause some reaction with the possibility to change the face of Eorzea, whether its some form of explosion or perhaps an infection of the aether akin to what kadaj was trying to do in advent children by infecting the lifestream with Jenova cells.

Except that's not exactly how gravity works....
If Aetherytes starting rising, something on the moon is specifically pulling aetherytes... not gravity
Gravity creates a field that distorts spacetime... as such, a "second" field would... You know what... you're just going to have to trust me on that
Even if it did happen in game (Which is highly unlikely considered the research that goes into these things), it would disappoint me that something so unrealistic happened

this is exactly what I've been saying...

The Garlean Empire is obviously influenced heavily by FFXII's Archadian Empire and FFVI's Empire as well

the Aetherial Energy is so very "FFVII Mako" that it is ridiculous...

Even Legatus Darnus says he wants to hit Eorzea with Meteor and gather at that spot to soak up all the pure creation energy (Sound like Sephy maybe?)

And the struggle with the Beast tribes (Among other things like character races, some gameplay mechanics) are heavily influenced by FFXI...

The FFIII influence is that FFXI was heavily influenced by it, so any references to FFXI probably go back to FFIII

the whole Dalamud ordeal kind of makes me think of the Space events and Lunar Cry from FFVIII... also in the Dats there was a whip class... and although there have been whips before.. the most memorable has got to be Quistis Trepe...

Lastly... the twelve and Primals seem very FaL'cie like from FFXIII (Kind of a stretch but similarities exist) and the paragons could very well be like L'cie

I was always under the impression that we would destroy Dalamud somehow, causing large chunks to rain down on Eorzea, changing the landscape without completely destroying it.
