Draw is already 30 seconds. I think a simpler change is to give Sleeve Draw two charges. This guarantees a three Seal Div at the beginning as you'll Draw, Sleeve x2 and bam. You're done. Maybe still bringing the CD down to 120 or you could go with Div resetting a single charge.Quote:

Am I the only one here the uses draw w/e it is on cooldown? I'm constantly pushing my seals off of the first drawn to keep that buff train rolling. If that RNG sucks then minor arcana it is. Sleeve draw is just something to use in between draws. I used it the same way before the change. I just kept pushing my seals off the board for the next one. Moon is in front do I have moon as a card?...no.... minor arcana it is. So on and so forth. Redraw would be used specifically for upcoming divination for me.
I do feel this neuters the way that I used sleeve draw because I feel cards are subjective and open to interpretation based on the player. I just never used sleeve draw for divination building and if I was doing it wrong...doesn't matter now. Sleeve draw has just been used for throwing out more cards in between divination's for me. Eventually they would overlap, but I made sure I was constantly buffing while waiting on Divination to pop, right seal or not. It only mattered leading up to divination coming off cooldown for me, but hey...that's how I played. -

I played Ast as my healer, it felt right before patch. Now... it feels crippled. I don't like whm because of holy spam, and sch feels like it's just feels lopsided to me with the changes to the fairies. All i want (as a ps4 player mind you) is for you to stop dumbing down mechanics for players who don't want to try to improve. Your making more issues than your fixing and its rippling out slowly. I do enjoy this game, i have since 2.0 when it was a lot more complex. It's why i play, I don't want my hand held and to be given a cookie for halfass play. I want to feel like i improved, i want to feel like i had to work for it. I'm not screaming "adapt or leave" I'm screaming "these things do not fit well enough to warrant the state they are in!" 3 cards was a nice touch that enjoyed. It made it easier for me personally to keep up a buff on at least 2 people. Speed isn't everything, and I just really want to play my role to the best i can. If I'm a healer... I AM SUPPOSED TO SUPPORT MY PARTY FIRST AND FORMOST. NOT DPS EVERYTHING AND LET PEOPLE DIE. If you do it right, you don't spend your whole bar of mp. That i will say, "adapt or change" for because if you want to dps, then be a dps... Not a healer.

I haven't used Sleeve Draw.... ever, because it was an absolute mess to use, and is why I couldn't main AST in any serious content.
One free card and a guaranteed seal is ideal.
It's a 100% improvement because the skill went from utterly unusable to some kind of bonus. -

I only can say that there definitely WERE problems with the old Sleeve Draw. So many players complained about it, because it was not fun to use for a lot of players, and also because it was very tedious to use on controller (OF COURSE, if you actually liked how it worked, you played AST a lot, got used to it, got good at it, even on controller. Or you're just very good at pressing buttons very fast).
It's totally fine that AST is more "difficult" than the other healers, optimizing the cards, lining them up with DPS burst windows, blah blah blah. But more complex game design shouldn't be based on more clunky game design.
And the discrepancy between mouse/keyboard and controller users only shows how flawed Sleeve Draw actually was. The complaints were real, and that has to be accepted.
We can just hope the AST card system gets yet again changed in the next expansion, to accommodate the players who want it to be complex enough for them to enjoy, but not so clunky that it is annoying to use.
Until then, maybe make the card used with Sleeve Draw as strong as Minor Arcana, or buff Divination, or give Sleeve Draw two charges, whatever. Just something, as long as it's not the terrible clunkiness be had before this patch. -
