Not really. I just wanted to point out what the main poster was talking about. I don’t think people may have notice what some do, so I provided some visuals. It’s all good, though. It don’t bother me. I enjoy it as is.

Dark skinned Caucasians are in Southern Europe and Mediterranean. Also people can tan you know. Skin color does not make a race.
I'd consider the Scions to all look very different from one another, with the exception of Alisae and Alphinaud by virtue of the pair being twins. Even then, it's not hard to work out who is who even if the game plays it up as a joke from time to time.
For all its worth I also understand where OP is coming from. It seem to be mainly a coding issue the like of which plague stories like X-Men and Detroit Become Human (especially the former).
I'd say this is somewhat mitigated by the existence of Asian coded cultures like in Hingashi and Othard, among possibly others but that still doesn't excuse that the protagonists tend to be white-passing.
Of course coding is a problem in the fantasy genre as old as the genre itself (and prolly older outside of it). this isn't to excuse it but rather point out that it might be a subconscious systemic thing (especially if it was combined with the whole Mukokuseki thing)
That is all I'm gonna say on the matter
