Plz Shorten the timer for FC plot buying attempt!

Omg i could ... , i know about the rank 6 stuff but not about the other thing. Thanks so much for this info, i will get some members or alts and try after that before a few more times before i buy a from someone else.

Eh, two man FC's are a legitimate thing. My own FC is just that - consisting of my character and my partner's character. It might not be the case in the OP's situation but with so many FC's being a den for drama then there's a lot of appeal in the two man model.

One person FC's are still FC's. I personally have a few one man FC's on other servers great way to trade gear and gil between alts when needed.

Also some of us are family-only (admittedly this can be a different sort of drama..! :) ). Me and my daughter are currently the only subscribed players in our FC, Husband subs on occasion. We have other family members who have played in the past so if they did again, we'd invite them to join too, but mostly it's just me and my kid. Not adding anyone I don't know in person to our FC as a result.

Is till believe FCs should have a minimum number, but I wouldn't "make a stand/die for the cause" for exactly this reason. There's simply no reason NOT to have a account-wide storage option...even if it was just 1 inventory tab's worth... The people they're trying to prevent cheating the system (RMT for example) can just send stuff back and forth via alternate accounts.

Free Companies in my opinion should always have priority when it comes to houses.

Atm the fact newer guilds cannot get houses put them at a huge disadvantage in terms of recruitment against any guild that has one and the fact they have to directly compete with solo players to get housing should not be a thing in any mmo period.

1 man free companies are only free companies because of the title in game. They were suppose to be the guild function of FFXIV. A 1 person, hell even a 5-8 person group is NOT a guild in any way form or fashion when you look at what a guild actually is. In my opinion any free company that has less then 10 unique log-ins (Account wide main & all your alts = 1 login) should be auto disbanded after say a month.

Houses should also require an upkeep (TAX) to keep the house using your FREE Company Points that everyone in the guild helps earns from just playing the game. Not enough points at taxtime the house auto-demos, make it where say on average it would require say 10 people playing 12hrs a week to maintain a small house , 20 people playing 12hrs a week to maintain a medium house, 40 people playing 12hrs a week to maintain a large house. This will prevent dead free companies from permanent holding houses because 1 person logs in for 5mins every 29days to just keep the house.

As for trading with alts and shared inventory... SE just need to fix the problem. It does nothing to rmt. Does not slow them down, does not stop them from trading stuff between themselves, all it does is screw over legit ppl. The whole prevent mailing/sharing to prevent RMT is just a 100% negative with 0 positives. You just need to ban buyers and sellers (Emphasis on banning buyers), no content should be designed with deterring rmt as its focus it should be designed around being best for the legit players.

Implementing a tax for players who own a house would be detrimental to the game. As for automatically disbanding FC's for not being large enough, that wouldn't go down well either. A FC isn't suddenly more valuable just because it happens to have lots of members. In my experience, they're simply a recipe for drama and even chatty, engaged players find themselves lost amidst the crowd.

It's like suggesting that small businesses should be eliminated because large corporations are bigger but not necessarily better.

Also the Tax system would just hurt people even more. Our small FC is very well established to make money. I alone could have access to something like 30 retainers and maxed subs/airships... so it would just be nothing to me. Even with a lot of members, a FC not prepared to pay out monthly is just gonna cause drama. Things like charging dues, etc.

That said, I and most of my Fc would also be perfectly fine if SE said “sorry individual homeowners, we are going to redo the system so individuals are instanced... neighborhoods will be FC only!“
..and I am saying that as a beachfront homeowner in mist on a very full server. Don’t really care about my neighbors with the giant Namath or Moai head..

Moreover, my FC has discussed several times that said we would be happy to give up our houses if housing was instanced. (FC of 5-8 members with 6 houses between us on a very full server. Tonberry, 2 Ls, 4 Ss)

Damn, someone getting salty over an one man FC because they are lucky enough to get house while they aren't, what next rip some one off thier mentor title because they doesnt do thier mentor roulette daily?
