Plz Shorten the timer for FC plot buying attempt!

I know that my sound a bit selfish and zynical, but it drives me mad seeing how often plots are lost for private housing when there are still so many FCs (including mine) that desperately trying to get a plot.

I know they are special wards that could only be bought from FCs, but they are all full and the restriction only applied to first time buyers not relocation.

I think the unlock timer should be shorter for FCs than for individual plot owners to give FCs a better chance to finally get a plot so they can use 100% of the FCs function including the workshop witch private plots don't have. Im trying to get a plot since nearly 3 weeks and half of the time or more its snatched away for private player housing.

Last ward update was open forever for FC's. On some servers privates got no chance at buying them because when they opened them for private sales they were ALL SOLD. I sincerely hope with the release of Ishgard they give everyone a chance at the same time or at the least open it to FC for the first week or two and not 3 months. I find it hard to understand how your FC didn't get a plot at that time.

They don't need shorter timers they've been given priority over privates for much too long.

Assuming you're not a solo FC, FCs already have an advantage when camping plots, since you can have multiple FC members camping a plot.

I think a better solution is not having the workshop gated behind FC housing in the first place. The workshop could be linked to the GC and made as individual content

Because let's face it, most of the time it's usually a small group of people doing the work/receiving the benefits of the workshop.

Lastly, the house market discords and reddit exist.

If you think your time, is being wasted camping a plot, much better to persuade a player with a FC which has a house, to transfer FC leadership to you for gil.

As long as SE refuses to implement proper instanced housing, we have to resort to solutions like this.

Well right now im a solo FC and yea my main intention is the workshop, so im would be really happy if the workshop could be used by everyone even ppl without an FC. I already thought about inviting more players but a FC without a house feels simply wrong.
I heard about the discord thing, but i will not participate it something like that. Stuff like that shouldn't be allowed in the first place. Sadly i couldnt find a player so far that would sell his FC with house.

So it's really just a personal house for you in that case since you're solo. Why should you get treated differently?

Unpopular opinion... but honestly I was always of the mind that a FC shouldn’t be able to buy a house without a minimum number of members (say..4)... I also believe at least 4 different member should log in in a certain period to prevent demolition (not visit the house, just that the Fc has members playing). If you have fewer than 4 people, just get a personal house and invite friends as tenants.

There’s no reason to giving a FC preferential treatment to get a house when it is ultimately just a second personal house.

Fortunately for those that disagree with me, SE also seems to agree with you, thus 1 man FCs and fake FC house flippers can scoop up the supply all day long, leaving us back where we started whining about lack of supply.

For a certain amount of time having 4 or more members was actually a requirement to purchase a plot as FC - "A free company may only purchase land if it has four or more members." https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes.../housing_land/
I dont know when they removed that restriction, but it should have really been kept in place...

Boy you've made a lot of housing threads lately. Secondly, your FC consists of you and someone whose max level is 59, so I'm assuming it's an alt. So drop the 'FC's should get preferential treatment' schtick because you're a solo FC and are just trying to get an unfair advantage.

Well its not an alt and everything else i already wrote above. Yea i made some threads about that because it really bugs me. Despite if im a solo FC or not i think FCs should always have priority because they offer bonuses and functions to everyone that normal player housings don't.

Btw. if i try buying an FC with a plot from another player like suggested, its a big risk for me. Is there any kind of system that prevents the other player of betraying me or a possibility to do something if got betrayed during a trade?
