The only too much strict penalty I see in the game, is when you get a penalty because one of your 2 o 3 party members doesn't accept the duty. Punish him, not everyone in the party.
So ice mages are just fine. Thanks guys
It's faceroll easy and will easily take up the vast majority of your alliance raid roulettes. It's rare that I get anything else. I've run it dozens of times. I see glowing Atomos in my sleep. There is no escape.
...more seriously and on topic, the penalties we have are fine :P
just dont be bad and people wont leave. sometimes certain players are punishment enough
Basically, once you join a PF, you're mandated to stay for 60-90-120 minutes otherwise you get penalized. Trolling would be far more rampart than ever before. I could trap you in Ruby Weapon EX for an hour by playing like absolute garbage on healer or tank and you have no recourse. If you call me out, I can just say I'm learning! If you mention how my damage is low or I'm overhealing, I can scream parser! And if you do elect to accept that penalty, you better not get two more throughout the week or you lose access for two days.
Congratulations. You just ensured people would never touch PF again, and by extension, quit the game entirely.
I want to say this is a giant troll thread but I've seen you chime in on multiple threads with insanely draconian solutions.
Sadly, CT (outside World of Darkness) is in many ways worse than Void Ark. We outgear it so hilariously you ignore everything. With how frequent LotA and ST spawn, I stopped queuing for Alliance until more recently just to finish leveling some jobs.
It only seems that way because the majority of people you end up running with seriously outgear that raid by at least 300 ilvls - this is why there is ilvl cheesers, so that it always pops in their roulette. Back then when all we had was i90, that raid was a nightmare, and WoD was the raid to dread.
Do you mean get penalized just for leaving a queue? Yeah, I don't think so. There's a myriad of reasons why a player might have to drop out after queuing. This typically isn't an issue unless the person that drops out of the queue is the only player of that role. And if you're griping about a lack of healers and/or tanks in the queue, then that is a great opportunity to queue up as one of them.Quote:

30 minute duty finder/party finder penalty (this would be a new penalty to discourage party finder trolls.)
30 minutes is fine. To be honest, 15 minutes is fine. Hell, even five minutes would be fine. The impact of this penalty is felt initially by preventing the player from being able to go back in to the queue. You also don't want to over penalize a player. I get it can be frustrating for others, but it takes much less time to replace a member in the queue than it does for it to fill up.Quote:

1 hour duty finder penalty (this is an existing penalty but would be doubled in penalty time.)[/b]
I agree that outright abandoning a duty should carry a heavy consequence. However, they would need to figure out a way to make sure that a DC, kick, or anything outside their control doesn't initiate the penalty. The penalty should only be enforced if the player chooses to abandon a duty on their own accord. I actually think that if a player makes a habit of this, it starts to get into a ToS infraction, and their account can be suspended. Duty abandonment should be something that is permanently tracked just like your playtime.Quote:
