Besides the obvious differences among the two tanks, WAR can grab hate a lot faster compared to a PLD. If a PLD hate plummets he will almost always struggle getting it back. A WAR just laughs as he will rarely lose it and if he does he just reminds the mob who's the boss in seconds.

I'm not saying a PLD can't get and hold a mob, but it require more effort than a WAR.

SE need to get out there crappy mind set of making pld a tank only but giving another job everything to tank.

they should boost pld def & hp, change a couple WS to AOE with enmity+ then your good to go.

I get the feeling the previous team made such a state of the code they couldn't remove it without the whole thing falling to pieces.

With any luck they have redone this for 2.0.

The text on FoW says nothing about evasion, i've never even opened the attribute screen to see if it adds anything to it. Its movement speed and reduced ws timers, that much i'm sure of ^^

It grabs so much hate when you have only 1 mob to worry about. Multiple mobs it doesn't always work out as it would seem on paper. WAR strength plus their abilities allow them to hold mobs like a beast. A PLD has to stay on edge to maintain his threat.

If you think a PLD is on par with a WAR in HATE control you must be in denial. I love my PLD but I'm not going to pretend like a WAR will not do better than me on the battlefield.

Not really, it's amount healed divided by 1.6 for enmity to damage.

Oops, forgot to type out Rampart for warrior also.

War and Pld don't have to fight to tank, Warrior can AoE tank, Pld can single target tank and there is no need for hostility. L2Share! This shouldn't keep people from trying to tank piles on Pld, nor keep them from tankin singles on War. Play what you like, even if people feel the other might be better in whatever situation you find yourself in.

You can already do the Riot Blade combo, even if you have hate. Disengage your lock on and run THROUGH your target. Then just use Riot Blade. Your character will automatically face your target so you don't have to manually turn around, and the delay in the enemy turning is great enough so that you get the "From the rear" status.

Then use Aegis Boon. Then Rage of Halone. By that time you should have intercepted a melee attack or TP move, so use Phalanx, then Bloodbath, then Spirit's Within.

This is easier obtained with the BRD TP song, but not impossible without.
