Everyone wishes to play as BLU. While SE doesnt know how to make it playable, the put it in as a limited job. Nice to have, but kinda pointless. I hope they will focus on existing classes instead of adding more limited jobs.

I agree limit job need work I just think I like them not be connect to the raid/dungeon wash cycle it not always need with combat jobs. through I suggest add feature that make them able to do that. the other ideal is hybrid limit job where it similar limited but your can syn it to play with other jobs in combat role set I think blue magic spell book. make similar limited is where you take to raid/dungeon content yet you still have spell and abilities you can learn.
"Limited jobs" is a dangerous design philosophy that should be tread with care. It allows for other potential jobs to get the spitball-idea treatment more easily rather than to keep it cooking in the design phase.
Unless Limited Jobs will officially be made a "test bench" or a limited beta for future jobs, I wish for not a single further job to become limited.
While the initial anger about Limited BLU died off a long time ago, it had varied and borderline "colorful" results regarding community feedback. The group that wanted BLU collecting spells is satisfied, those who wanted to use Duty Finder queues (simply anything but solo or fixed party) so they could main a job they adored were and still are unhappy.
It's not even like BLU is unplayable outside of the Carnival - as a certain forum user's description says, BLU without meme abilities (Missile, Tail Screw, Doom, etc.) or conditionally overpowered spells (White Wind, Ram's Voice freeze CC) is a normally functioning Lv50 job with proper rotation, mobility options and burst windows.
BLU can and should be reworked to allow for DF matching if not outright making it a standard Disciple of Magic job.
I think it would have been cool to introduce a limited class.
Level 1-30 it's limited, no DF, pure leveling and collecting spells in the overworld.
Once it's strong enough the Blue Mage job unlocks with a DF action set and full possibilities, various checks at 50/60/70 to make sure you've unlocked enough stuff to unlock the next lot of DF options.
Job stone on, "normal" job whose main unique gimmick is learning spells from monsters instead of leveling.
Job stone off, "limited" class who can equip whatever crazy combination of spells you want to engage in messing about with me friends and completing the carnivale.
Would have even fit well with the existing job quests characters, with a few tweaks. Martyn teaching you a weaker but more flexible version that puts on a great show, Gaheel Ja and Latool Ja teaching you a fixed but more combat useful version of the discipline.
I'm all for "limited" features because it allows you to have fun without people bitching about not following the META. In fact, I think every job should have a "limited" addition, like customization or special bonuses on items, for when you play solo or in premade with friends.
The way that I see it, SE had this one chance to impress us with Limited Jobs. I am of the opinion that if BLU and the Masked Carnival had been this truly fleshed out and deep game feature that kept everyone engaged and excited, it could've garnered respect instead of derision and more importantly, set future Limited content in a positive light that would've been welcomed.
But it wasn't so no, you won't find me supporting any future Limited content.
The best would be for me to have them as normal jobs with a fixed rotation and on top of that give side content to it. I mean bard is a normal job but they are still the only ones to use Perform. Have blue be a normal job that learns their normal rotation through job quests and that also can learn more fun skills through overworld monsters which they then use in the carneval. Win Win. It will be used for everything and those that want certain attacks can have them for special content.
Do that for more jobs along the way. Heck beast master could be the same. Certain beasts for content and more to collect to battle against each others or NPCs in certain places.
Right now, BLU has 12 spells that are either not learned on monsters or learned but mandatory for questing. By comparison, a lvl 50 BLM has 17 skills.
So, I don't think it would be that hard to reorganize BLU to have 17 skills purely caster DPS oriented while all the other skills would be optionnal. Like the limited feature I've spoken above, those spells wouldn't be available for some content (namely raid finder content, to keep the world race as fair as possible) or out of premades.
To activate them, you'd have to check an option in Duty Finder, like undersize, minilvl or loot rules.
I have suggest use the squadron for dungeon to get skills
I agree the limited jobs are fine the issue is that the community isn't used to it yet I hope by time we have beastmaster the community will become more used to it.
